What if I plan on using a purchased social media account?

This is NOT a buying/selling thread but let's suppose this. What if I purchased a Twitch account right now and the seller gave it to me fair and square no scams? Sounds good right? But what if I'm planning on using that Twitch account in the future?

So let's suppose I buy a Twitch Partner Account (long story short, I could never achieve the partnership requirements for concurrent viewers). And if I plan on using this account to stream on, how am I supposed to come up with a good yet not shady story for my new viewers? What do you people who have purchased social media accounts do when it comes to announcing your fanbase? Do you start fresh on the platform and not carry fans over? Or what exactly do you do to come up with a good story?

I don't see this thread getting posted but I'm sure someone can come up with something creative/clever and not shady.

I also wondered about this. I wanted to possibly buy a Twitch or YouTube channel but didn't know what the point was.

I'm surprised not a single thread or info help center gives example stories to write for this. Would that be possible to add that in your buying and selling guide right here? https://www.epicnpc.com/infocenter/buyingguide.html

I feel a lot of us who plan on "using" purchased accounts would love to know what's the best story to come up with.

Sorry for quoting a diff post in diff thread but I don't know how to "mention" users. Just thought I'd put a suggestion out there.

Businesses get bought and sold all the time, this includes the transfer of the social media channels to the new owner of the business. This is why Youtube and others have options to transfer ownership of the channels to someone else. You don't really need to make up a story, you can say you purchased the business and are the new owner.

If you don't want to do that and instead pretend your the original owner, that's more difficult especially if the previous owner appeared in the videos or streams. People will obviously be able to tell it's someone even if it's voice alone.

I'm not sure what type of story you can make up, but being honest with your viewers is probably the best course of action. Just tell them you purchased the business, which included the social media accounts because the previous owner didn't want to do it anymore or they wanted to do something else.

Does a social media account really count as a business if the account only produces content? Also, isn't this bannable if a lot of people report you for "buying an account"? Even if you don't get banned, wouldn't your audience that you had from your original account start looking at you in a more negative way because you purchased an account that had more audience?

If you have a registered business and sell it, that it includes everything that business owned including any social media account.

Also, isn't this bannable if a lot of people report you for "buying an account"?
Selling a channel is allowed, so I'd doubt you would get banned even if people reported it.

Even if you don't get banned, wouldn't your audience that you had from your original account start looking at you in a more negative way because you purchased an account that had more audience?
Yes, but it's better than trying to trick them. If they find out you've been lying, then I would imaging the negative effect would be worse.
