I hate to be the bearer of bad news but no site that accepts PayPal is safe to buy or sell. Contrary to popular belief just because someone says your protected doesn't mean you are. Coming from someone who has sold over 200 wow accounts I can tell you that PayPal and similar methods have no protection for the buyer or the seller.

In-fact PayPal's buyer and seller complaint policies don't even cover virtual items, just like most payment sources. The reason is because it's nearly impossible to verify virtual transactions, the buyer claims they didn't receive it, seller claims they sent it... no way to really prove what happened!

The best thing you can do is always use a credit card for your purchase, that way if your scammed you can usually do a charge back. Also make sure to always get to know the person your buying from and selling to, require a phone call, get there ID if your buying an account, do anything possible to get to know them.

I personally prefer to use craigslist when I'm buying or selling, they don't have any of there own protection but craigslist users are usually more legitimate. Also if you can find someone local or find someone who can process credit cards not through a third party like PayPal or Google Checkout you usually know you found someone safe.
