I just noticed in credits transations that a warning I got cost me 25 credits. I thought at first that it was just PM and not official. Since I feel it was unjustified, I want this reviewed/removed. Did I also receive some infraction points with this?

The warning was posted on your profile. The infraction points are based on what the mod decides to give you as long as they are within a specified threshold. You received a warning with zero points. However it is still a warning and will remove 25 credits as will all warnings.

Warnings result in a -25 credit violation fee. 25 credits is about $0.20, so it's not much. The reason we do this is because some members don't care about warning points, so credits are removed to make the warnings a bit more serious.

I dont mind the credits as much as being punished for trying to help. Also the comment definitely wasnt breaking forum rules.

We don't allow members to post in disputes because it becomes too chaotic for the mod/admin that is handling the dispute.

Members are allowed to point out mistakes made or answer questions about a subject if the moderator requests help, but that's about it. Sorry.

Irrelevant Posting
Do not post on someone's scammer thread if it does not directly concern you. Posting your comments on the matter is not needed. You can only post if you are being helpful.

Helpful means you are asking the poster to add information they missed, such as screenshots, IM/forum username or URL to buy/sell/trade thread or to fill out the dispute form.
If a mod/admin missed some information that was posted, you can point that out also.

DO NOT post your opinions or ask questions.

Then you should update this part to reflect the actual practice. Thanks.

You posted this.

if the "middleman" fooled you, you should provide some evidence

A moderator was already handling this dispute and was asking for specific evidence. Your comment is not asking the user to post any specific evidence, but evidence in general which was already done by a moderator. I agree with the mod that your post added no value to the dispute and so should have been removed.

Had you asked something specific like "please post an image of [this], it will show [this]" then that would be useful if a moderator didn't ask for it or if the user didn't include that image.

If a user creates a dispute and posts no evidence, they you can post "you should provide some evidence", that would be fine, but this dispute was already well into being investigated. I'm sorry, but your post added no value to the dispute and should not have been posted.

Isnt it clear I was asking him to post evidence of the MM fooling him? It seems specific to me. Salt asked for evidence from the victim and not for the scammers claims. So if that comment was totally unnecessary, why would day later come Angel and post this.
@lowence28 please provide an image with the conversation you had with the fake MM. If you are unable to you will be banned.
My comment would literally save a whole day of waiting.

Anyways, I accept your decision and I wont be posting in disputes anymore, since it deemed not helpful or specific enough.
