Verified status disappeared with no explanation

I previously had verified status about a year ago, I can't find any mention of if/when it expires. I tried to purchase it again, but the site said I was already verified. My inbox is registering the smaller size, my edit limit is back in place, and the icon is gone from my user. So, clearly, I don't currently have verified status.

If it expired, how do I renew it? The site says I already have it when I try to upgrade my account.

If it was removed for some reason, why?

If it's a bug, assistance would be appreciated. Apologies for the long post, wanted to provide as many details as possible and I did try to find information on the website first.

Thanks, I figured it was something like that with the timeframe, just wouldn't let me buy it in the store.
