Hey all,
Posting this because I haven't found much online reporting these sites and I'd like to help prevent people from getting scammed for large sums of money.
The only existing post I found flagging this is here: https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/do-not-buy-from-topwowaccounts-com-scam.2067094/ but it mentions "TopWowAccounts" (plural). TopWoWAccount.com (singular) actually references this on their own FAQ, claiming the plural version is an unrelated old scam site. I think it's the same operator that just rebranded to make the new site look clean.
Both sites contain extremely premium accounts with prices that seem very competive. Since I was interested, I started digging a bit to understand whether it was a scam or not.
A few proofs here:
WHOIS doesn't match their story. TopWoWAccount claims they've been operating "since 2019" (and somewhere they even mention since 2016) - domain was actually registered August 2022. Three years off. Not a typo, just a lie to build false credibility.
Their reviews on their site is all fake as well. Reviews look ai written and even if it mentions they are from google, they are not.
In here they also link a subreddit called r/WoWMarketplaces that looks like a neutral review hub. It's not. It's run by a user named ReidLos1 who uses it to post "vouches" for TopWoWAccount AND BuyWoWAccount - same template, same guy, 4 years of it. He controls the mod tools so anything negative gets removed. If you search his post history it's transparent as hell, also because he advertises his site elsewhere as well.

Trustpilot reviews: 101 of them, all weirdly similar timing and wording. wutg classic buy-a-review pattern as well.
The only accept crypto as a payment which cannot be claimed back.
Finally I did a live test just to confirm my suspects and this made it 100% clear as they both accepted without esitation to sell an account for much less and refused to share live streaming of the account:

Now I doubt anyone is so crazy and would fall for this and send money to a stranger via crypto without doing some research, but hopefully this is helpful and save some time to other people
Edit: the scammer is running Google ads under the same name for Topwowaccount and Wowtcgshop, you can search and find real name. Could be the scammer, his girlfriend or someone running Google ads but the name is for sure real because Google has strict policies and verification.
