Back in the PS3 era there was a point to it, because Steam was still learning how to walk on it's two legs, but nowadays I really don't see a point even getting a new PlayStation Generation console. With everything being also available for PC eventually down the road. Especially at the hefty release price of 500$, mind you. Though, if I remember correctly the PlayStation 3 was also released in the US and all across Europe at the exact same price, and later dropped in its life cycle down to 300$ and lower. I assume it won't be any different with the PS5, so maybe, just maybe I will buy it when I feel like it? Who knows.
It's not like I am desperate enough to get my hands on some of the games that were announced in the lineup for release, after all I have like 30+ sealed games that I bought years ago and never played until now. Some are even older than 6 years. Barely anything appealed to my personal taste to be honest.
Design wise.... I'm getting flash backs to Disney's Wall-E imao
