What is the dispute about?
I puchased FFxi account and changed all logon/accout information and also set up Software Token to avoid a risk of hacking.
Suddenly, I cannot logon both game and the account management portal on SquareEnix website on April 4, 2022.
At the same time, I received a norification email from SquareEnix to inform account information change though I did not change anything since the day I bought the account.
Even software token was removed and According to SQ policy only the OO can request the removal with showing OO's ID such as Driver license and passport.

I contacted the seller several times to contact SQ to recover the account but he never replied back to me about it despite the fact that he logs in EpicNPC almost everyday.

Other details / notes:
It is obvious that the seller (the OO), contacted SQ to recover the account after he sold it to me.
I tried to contact SQ but they do not speak to anyone who cannot show the detailed OO's information with ID.

What account information did the seller provide you at the time of sale? (ID, SQA, etc)

First of all, I did not, nor would I ever, scam anyone. Our transaction went through fine, and now some 3 weeks later I'm getting email notices from this website and paypal about these disputes. First from the buyer and the middleman reaching out to me about the account, and now this thread and paypal putting a hold on the payment. I don't have access to the account. I've contacted SE on behalf of the buyer trying to get the account back, but the information they've asked for no longer matches what they have under the account information (obviously, since it was all changed when the buyer took hold of the account.) SE has not asked me for an ID as proof, I wasn't aware that might be an option, but I've been trying to go through my bank records to find previous payments and subscriptions on the account to further establish proof of "ownership" (in quotes because I don't consider myself the owner of this account anymore, and I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore after selling it, which was the whole point of this.)

I have responded to the buyer, one of my responses is even in one the screenshots they supplied. And I don't know why they think I log on here every day, I've only been on once or twice since the sale to check on the notifications/messages I've been getting.

I have had no desire to reacquire this account. And I don't understand the timing of it either. Since I know I'm not in possession of the account, I can only assume that either A. the new account owner shared their information with someone else since purchasing the account, or B. is pushing this accusation to add some "legitimacy" in their claim with paypal to take their money back.

I will continue to try with SE in securing the account, though I'm a little hesitant in what to do with the account if I'm even able to get it back.
 
@zbruin86 Thanks for your reply.

If you get the account back, you can simply hand it back to your customer. If not, then you need to reach out to the person you got it from to attain thier help in getting it back.
 
@zbruin86 How did you contact SQ and did you get any specific reply from them?
If so, I would like you to show the proof of that.

Your EpicNPC account information "Last Seen" was updated everyday, so I geuess you are on here everyday.

I did not share any account information with anyone, that's why, I set up Software Token security .
Anyway, all my desire is to get the account back to me. I actually don't care a refund.
