Here's the reasons I can tell you're pissed that someone is trying to help people out rather than extort them:
1. You only have 5 posts but seem to know everything about EPICNPC, so my guess is you created an alt account on this site to reply undercover. Shame on you just for that.
2. This has been made into a business because this game and other loot based games drive people crazy for loot drops rather than people playing for the fun of the game, which people who charge money to help people get this loot are taking advantage of.
3. You attacked my credibility as a raider but you have no idea who I am or who I help for free every week- I've been swordbearer for Crota Hard 6x already this week, all for free.
4. You assumed the "donation" would go to me and I was dodging advertising a price. If I'm already doing it for free every week, why not establish a donation page at autismspeaks.org (which I've done in the past for stand up comedy shows) or another verified national organization, where people donate $10-15 or really whatever they can afford for a Hard Mode Completion, which a lot of people want, is fun for me to do to see people scream in their mic when they get their glowhoo shader or a SUROS or Ghally drop for the first time?
5. I did put a caveat on the squeaker policy. I don't want to hear someone just chattering away all the way through a raid to their mom in the background telling her "5 more minutes MA, and then I'll come to the dinner table." I don't want to contribute to kids who should be "being kids" and get them caught up in just playing video games all the time. If they are mature youngsters with high pitched voices, I don't mind playing with them at all.
I didn't post this seeking to start a business venture. I stumbled across this site as it hits high in Destiny google searches related to raids/etc, and when I spent 30 minutes reading the ads and Raid/Leveling services was simply disgusted that people would take what was built as a social game and turn it into a cash-for-loot enterprise for their personal gain. I help people through raids all the time, as people do on the reddit sherpa sub and other places, such as destinylfg.net, who regularly post to "help" or show people how the raids work. The advertised prices for one raid that nearly match the sticker price for the game ARE outrageous, they ARE vulturous, they ARE inexcusable as they are preying on people's "addiction" to the loot systems in these games. What I offered was an alternative to that system, as IMHO, the "going rates" for these services are over the top, because as I stated in my original post, it is just a game, and I find it more enjoyable to treat it that way, and have fun in an open social community where people accomplish things together and are happy when they see another person get an exotic they've been chasing for a few months, rather than being the pissed off guy who is rage yelling in his mic after his 5th HM completion saying "why don't I ever get the MFing CRUX!!!?"
