One convoluted 20 minute phone call and a headache later, I backed out of the deal. No paypal info or account info was traded. I believe he was impersonating another repped person on mmobay based on a few reasons:
When I asked him if he could send me an email using the address associated with his mmobay account, I recieved the following message in my email:
Warning: This message may not be from whom it claims to be. Beware of following any links in it or of providing the sender with any personal information.
He avoided personal info at every turn. Could not even answer simple questions such as "what city in California do you live in?"
When I finally did get a city and address from him, he immediately wanted the account info. I checked up on the address: it's a grocery store location in Los Angeles.
Finally, I asked him what time it was in California (the time was 1am CST for me) and he claimed it was close to midnight. I then looked at his regional time on Skype and it was 2pm (GMT - 8:00), which means his Skype location was somewhere in China's time zone.
