Sticky Limit Increased + Auto-Bump Update

We have decided to increase the sticky thread limit on a temporary basis from 3 threads to 4. This increases the total amount of purchasing power from 6 to 8 threads. (4 active, 4 outbids). The change is to make it a little more difficult for one seller to control a section.

All pending sticky threads (outbids) were started early unless a section had multiple, then the first outbid was started early.

The auto-bump manager was also updated and we changed the bump timer from the standard 6 hours to 5 hours. This gives members who use the auto-bump manager a slight advantage over members that manually bump. The manual bump timer will remain at 6 hours.

It doesn't make it "more difficult for one seller to control a section", it only makes it more expensive.
...
If you wan't to prevent a single user from monopolizing a section, give it a cooldown or a maximum number of purchasable sticky threads per forum. Else it could be seen as a bad worded attempt to milk sellers.

More expensive means more difficult. Not every seller likes to spend more money advertising the same items or services. We already have a cooldown that prevents someone from purchasing more than 2 stickies at a time, however we do not block members from purchasing multiple stickies. If 1 seller wants to purchase all of the spots and no one else is buying them, they can do that. We want to give other sellers a chance at the open spots, but if they don't purchase any, there's no reason to prevent someone from purchasing all of them.

This was announced as a temporary solution so we can see what happens over the next few months. At the time of this update we had 15 sections that were sold out (both spots and outbids). The goal is to decrease this by at least 50%, but hopefully more so it creates a rotation in those sections. Some seller might drop out allowing others to obtain a spot. We'll have to wait to see how it goes. If at the end we still see the same amount of sold out sections, we'll have to rethink this change and possibly come up with another solution to address it.

The auto-bump change is just a Pay-to-win change, confirming my point.
Auto-bump has been requested for a very long time. Of course it's pay-to-win, almost everything is pay-to-win on the site. Pay to upgrade, make your thread color red or green, highlight your thread, sticky threads, banner ads, all of this is pay to win. We're a marketplace, that's how we make money.

It's a manual process. Smite is an old game and I probably overlooked it because I didn't think Smite would ever be sold out.

Things are magically going your way. Weird coincidence if you ask me.
what coincidence? If it's been sold out for a year, that means the sellers got low prices for a long time. What is going "my way"? We lost money.

bug
it must be one free spot because last topic is a duplication and expired long ago
