Hello guys,

I have read a lot of info on this site so far trying to prepare myself for buying a character.

The seller has asked that i regiester with moneybookers which i have done. I normally use paypal so i assume this site is ok? I am not familiar with it

Now i want to try and give myself the best possible chance that this sale goes ok. I can find out very little info about the seller but have talked to him on msn for a while.

He says he has all account info, is original owner and has CD key etc. So far so good.

Now when my verification comes through with moneybookers i will be in a position to buy. What steps should i take and is there anything i can do to give myself the maximum protection?

I have never bought an account so its all a little worrying!

As i understand it:

I get the user name and pword for the account
He will have to change the email or the account to my email address
i am then free to change the pword and transfer the character?

If i transfer this new character i bought to an old account is there is risk of flagging this up to blizzard so i get banned?

Out of interest why do i need the original CD key?

Sorry for asking so many questions. I read most of the guides but they seemed to be aimed at preventing scamming by buyers. Not a guide on how to buy an account the safest way

Thanks in advance

First off, moneybookers is a pretty secure site for sellers, however, they are not covered for intangible goods so you'll be fine. Heres my advice, if you have a problem with the account just perform a charge back on your credit card, always use your credit card. You have up to 180 days (6 months) to perform a charge back so don't worry.

You need the first and last name on the account as well, don't forget it, it is a very important part of the procedure of buying/selling/trading accounts.

After you have received all of the account information you have to make a new world of warcraft account with a brand new WoW cd-key and the last name on the new account must match the last name on the account you just bought.

Example - You bought an account whose name was John Smith
Make the new account name Jack Smith.

When making a new account I prefer to use the same first letter as the old account's name this way if the buyer ever tries to take back the account he'll have a heck of a time because he'll keep saying the name on the account is John Smith and the operator over the phone will say it starts with a J and it will automatically raise a flag.

TL;DR Version
Problem with account, charge back your credit card purchase.
Make a new WoW account with the same last name as the account you bought and then transfer the character to that account.
