Single authenticator linked to two accounts under different names?

Has anyone tried this?

I currently have 2 accounts, I am oo of one of them and the other one was traded and has a different name on it. What I am wondering is will having both these accounts linked to the same authenticator raise some red flags for blizzard? Is it safer to buy 2 authenticators, one for each account?

I recommend not having the same information on two accounts if the original owner's name is different on them, and I wouldn't recommend what you're suggesting.

To be on the safe side I never use the same address, phone numbers, email address, or credit cards on more than one account and recommend our customers to do the same.

We have sold hundreds of accounts in the past year, and not one of them has been closed for account trading so we must be doing something right.

I would say it is safer to buy 2 authenticators, 12 bucks can make things alot safer

I seriously doubt you can do this anyways. Being familiar with the RAS (Authenticator) backend software it would be harder to setup and counter-intuitive to any security policy.

You can use 1 Authenticator on multiple accounts with different names.

This couple I play with have 1 authenticator on 3 different accounts. They have different names on the accounts.

UN-married couples, friends, family with different last names etc...play the game, blizzard knows that..it would be wrong if they based account bans on something as trivial as Authenticators.
