There is no way to confirm if a seller botted or hand-farmed their currency. Either way, the risk to being banned for participating in the currency market appears to be about the same.

Well like the title says, my wife and I are selling our extra credits on the NA servers Jedi Covenant, The Bastion and Prophecy of the Five. We are also happy to buy you whatever in-game items you might want instead of just straight credits, such as Cartel market items and packs, mounts, molecular stabilizers, crafting materials, item modifications, weapons and armor or anything else you might like that can be bought with credits.
