The seller gave me account details. I secured email and account. Then buyer and seller started discussion about payment. For some reason they agreed to use Amazon Gift cards. I told in the group chat and offered to use paypal, but apparently the seller told lies to the buyer about being scammed too many times and such and they did Gift cards.

The whole payment thing took about an hour, and after the seller confirming the trade I realized that the Gmail details have been reset. 2 phone numbers added, recovery email changed back to what it was origianlly.

I have a video proof of me being logged in to the account (the tab was open so it didn't kick me out)

As you can see the recovery email has been changed back to what it was originally.

The seller has been banned now as he left t he trade immediately and removed the buyer from the discord.

I just made this thread so that the buyer gets his MM fee refunded and perhaps becomes eligible for a victim fund refund.

We are having an internal discussion on how this could be possible as the video posted above shows the MM removed the email recovery settings, added his own email as the recovery email and changed the password. There must be an exploit on Gmail that allows the email to be recovered even if security settings are changed.

The MM fee has been refunded. We can offer you a $50 payment via our victim fund. Unfortunately we cannot offer a higher amount due to fact our fund is small and rarely gets donations.

Back then when i was dealing with private server accounts had a similar case, upon changing info on the account and after seller got $ , email details were changed. It's not a flaw or anything. gmail accounts are very easy to recover.I tried to re-recover but unsuccessfully.[/HIDE]
