I traded an account with a guy and everything went smoothly and the account was mine and mine was his for about a week. Tried to login today and couldnt. Somehow the password had change and couldnt get it back...Asked my buddy to login and see if the charatcer had been on and it had just an hour previous and the account had been removed from his friends list. What do I do?
Screwed out of a fair deal.

I would recall my account ASAP. Also, takes screens shots of all your aim logs, emails, and whatever other proof you have and post it in the scammer section using the template so the user doesn't do it to someone else. Remember to edit out any personal info in the screen shot before you post them for public view.

Recover it immediately.
Then post every bit of evidence you have to the Scammer Reports section at the bottom of the forums.
If all else fails, email blizzard and tell them you were involved in account trading and his, along with your account will get banned.(Better than him having both in my opinion.)

The think is this is the only account I ever and I seriously mean ever didnt write the info down. I have no way to recall. At least I dont think so. And I didnt log aim. I guess I thought I would never have to deal with a scammer since my first 2 trades went perfectly.

Update on this ordeal...just caught my character online and whispered him...turns out he was given the account by the same guy. Load of ****...I told him to get his account back if he can....

Take that back the guy is ignoring me now. Says he doesnt want to be caught in the middle. Well, anyone who reads this. Tkae my mistake as an example...Always write down info! Change the info on the account.
