Provide information about the dispute and what lead to it: I purchased an account off Copyrighted for $350. The account was banned a couple weeks ago out of the blue. I opened a ticket with Riot asking what happened, and their reply was a series of questions to me, very specific questions such as the IP that I used when I signed up for the account, original email, date that it was created, etc.... This is obvious signs of a recall. If an account is banned by the tribunal, you get an email with a link to the tribunal case, with the tribunal logs. The email that I received simply stated I had broken the TOS and was permanently banned. I spoke to Copyrighted this afternoon and he stated that he purchased this account off Romoabel(who is a known scammer now). I am not holding Copyrighted at fault here, but the hard truth is that I purchased the account off him, not Romoabel, and now I am out $350.

I bought the account off him more than 30 days ago so i don't have the skype logs from then. :/
If theres a way that i can prove that I bought the account off Romo, i would gladly help!

The complicated aspect is that Romoabel is already banned from these forums, and I was informed by other people that paypal does not provide refunds for digital accounts such as this.

Got more some proof although idk if it's enough.
If the admins or mods, check my feedback on my profile and find the one that Romoabel left for me, it should bring you to the original thread he posted in which i bought it from. Plus, the dates match on when he sold it.

please do not bump scam threads.

the way i see it is

Romoable > coyprighted > Machshoot

Since Copyrighted sold you the account he would need to compensate you.

Romoable is already banned so all i can suggest is copyrighted dispute the payment via paypal/your bank.

This is a really difficult situation so i will be waiting for epicnpc himself to make the final decision on this one

Riot asks questions neither Machshoot or Copyrighted can answer

If Romoabel wasn't banned, I would pull him into this dispute and tell him to recover this account. However since he was banned for scamming another member, it's very likely he is the one that attempted to recall it. As the account is banned that shows the recall attempt failed and had it been truly been the OO that tried to recover it, I'm sure the account would have been reclaimed and not banned.

As always the sellers are responsible for accounts they sell once proof of recall/ban has been provided. In this case if it's proven a previous seller or OO recalled, Copyrighted will be responsible.

Machshoot please post a screenshot of the email or Riot support ticket showing the account was banned. Once that is provided, Copyrighted will be responsible for compensating Machshoot.

Here is the email from Riot stating that the account was banned. Note that the email is from riotgames.com and not leagueoflegends.com, which is where Tribunal bans are emailed from.

Here is the email I received back from Riot in response to my ticket.

And here is an example of what a Tribunal ban email looks like, just further evidence that the account was banned due to a recall, and not breaking in-game rules.

Forgot to add(won't let me edit my last post) that that example I posted of a tribunal ban, is NOT from the account in question. Just wanted to make that clear before anyone mentions it.

I sent a reply to Riot, answering the questions they asked with the best possible answers Copyrighted and I could muster. I'll post back when I get a reply, but as you know Riot's customer support is quite slow.

Yes, if you can get the account unbanned that will resolve the issue.

The reason sellers are responsible if it's proven a previous seller or the OO recalled an account is to make sure sellers only sell secure accounts. The goal is to provide security for buyers and reduce the amount of recalls. If sellers were not responsible for OO recalls or previous owners, they would be much less likely to care about the accounts they sell, which in turn would just lead to more recalls.

I received a reply from Riot, they're asking a battery of new questions. These are questions that only the OO would know, and since Romoabel won't be cooperating, I don't see the account getting unbanned anytime soon.

machshoot, is there any ticket of you asking RIOT why the account was banned? the email and ticket are very vague and Id like to see RIOT say specifically that someone called in to try to recall the account. How do I know you didn't resell it to someone and then it got banned? or you were sharing the account with someone else and too many IPs triggered the ban. I just need to see that a recall request was made to make sure.

Imo, i don't think the IPs is a problem as on my original account it was played over 20 different IP address all over the country. But the first theory can be true. :O

They never gave me a reason for the ban, even after I asked. There was no specific reason given in the original ban email that I already posted, and none after I asked in the email above. Their response was the series of questions, which I already posted, and posted once again above.

I replied to their second questionnaire as best as I could, but the info was very scarce, I had to pull my best bull****ter. Luckily the account was created in 2010, so I had a lot of room to say I don't recall.. Since let's be honest, who remembers the first champ they bought 3 years ago?

I'll post back once they reply.

Riot's customer service needs a little work I must say, they move slower than dirt. I received a reply to my last email, again no reason was given as to the ban. Their response was " I've forwarded your ticket to a specialist who can help you with your concerns ".

More of the wait game, I'll reply once I have another "update" from Riot.

It looks I lost this one, they are not going to be reinstating the account.

Here is the email I just received from their "specialist".

They still haven't given me a specific reason for the ban, despite me asking 3-4 times. But by the sounds of this final email and the fact that no reason was given, leans very heavily in the favor of it was recalled.

A) No Tribunal email was sent
B) They asked for very specific details about the account
C) They use terms such as "releasing the account"
D) Romoabel has a history of recalling and scamming.

It really sucks that it falls on Copyrighted, he's a good guy and doesn't deserve this, so I feel bad about it. I know he opened a dispute with Romo on paypal and I hope that goes through, Romo deserves to be taken for a ride for all he's scammed. If this was a cheap account I'd let it go, but $350 is $350.

1- its been too late :/ if machoot had contacted me the day it got i could've gotten back my money but when he started the thread, the paypal deadline was off by 1 day. in short terms, paypal gives the buyer/seller to start a dispute within 45 days of the purchase and the day macshoot posted it, it was too late by a day or a day and a half.
2- as the admin stated how do i know that you truly didnt sell it to someone and then you recalled it.... but im not saying that macshoot is the one recalling it
i just find it unfair that the seller should be responsible to compensate the buyer when there's no proof that he did such and recalled the account, if there was, then i would most certainly provide the compensation for the account.

Paypal will make special exceptions if you miss the deadline by one day. I had one dispute open @55 days. If it's over 60 days they will not help most likely.
You just have to make sure you ask them "please help me make an exception".

Also do not say a thing about that its a "virtual" item or an account. If you want help add me on Skype: Bigfangs1

Regarding that, EpicNPC and all the mods can see on Page 1 that Romo clearly stated that he had the original SUPPORT info which he never gave me. As for those 2 accounts, Romo sold JBONE to Carbon-xYz , I got that account from Sirpeazes as I stated previously.
