He was offering a rogue for a server transfer and a month of gametime. Had some decent gear on him and a couple of alts so I figured why not.

He said he will provide ID scan first and account login and password for me to check it out make sure it was fine, then I do a transfer, get SQA, and then put a month of gametime on the account.

I got the ID, information on it is posted above, checked the account, name and location matched, checked his post hitory and all posts were made from the same TWV location as the ID and address on the account. Phone number he gave me matched location, unfortunately I didn't call.

Logged in to account, everything is as advertised. Gold and items are there, toon is guilded in a raiding guild. So I gave the guy benefit of the doubt and figured poor guy is broke and wants some time on his other toon.

Used my CC to initiate the transfer and took screenies, he confirmed and took off. Screens and Logs to follow.

<span style="font-weight: bold">I know I shouldn't have went first on this deal, but i figured 25 dollars is not a big deal. I placed a chargeback with my credit card and they refunded me my money. Will be talking to blizzard as well and make sure they know there is an authorized charge on his account and get it locked so he can't play. In fact I'll be making a second call and tell them that the sold me the first account and send them logs/ID/emails/screenshots and get that one banned as well.

So I lose nothing, and this guy gets an MD Ban, locked account, banned second account, and a [censored] reputation

Bottom line is, scamming isn't worth it, so stop doing it</span>

Also would like to add that I tried to contact his local PD. Will he get in trouble? Probably not. But if I can cause at least a minor annoyance I would be more than happy.

EDIT: can show picture proof of me getting charged the money on account but would rather not to, this should be more than enough. If a mod needs it though I'll be more than happy to provide.

Just call your credit card company and tell them someone made a fraudulent charge. It may only be $25.00 but he will end up having to mail in the money and his account will be locked until he does.

The email that he gets will look something like this:
