Check my first screenshot... he says "this is mastercu from mmobay"....
His paypal email on MasterCU's profile page on mmobay is "[email protected]" so yes.... Go to his profile and theres a link saying "I'm paypal verified" click the link and [email protected] comes up.

I just took a screenshot of my mouse hovering over his "Paypal Verified" link on his MMobay profile incase he takes it off.

http://i39.tinypic.com/292xvn4.jpg <---- Mousing over "Paypal Verified" shows at the bottom left that his email is [email protected] - if you log into paypal and click the link it also tells you the same.

CUongCUbu. MasterCU. Same person obviously... why wouldn't it be the same person.

Sorry for the reply spam.

Checked my PM's, he also mentions his steam email to be [email protected], which is the email I added to steam..... http://i42.tinypic.com/5wh83s.jpg

?? I am sorry but I believe someone impersonated me and scammed you. Yes [email protected] is me but i never even contacted you on steam.

---------- Post added 11-21-2011 at 06:52 PM ----------

I also do not like how you left me a negative feedback score when you should have at least wait to let things settled down first.

It was you.

1. You went offline on the forums the same minute that you went offline on steam.
2. I added you with [email protected] - the email you provided.
3. You've obviously just seen the MMObay.net message, seen an opportunity to deny it, and gone for it.

---------- Post added 11-22-2011 at 12:18 PM ----------

4. You said "You said $25 in the pm" on steam. Yet another thing that simply adds to the already obvious fact that it was you. The simple thing to do would just be pay up and be done with it.

Reklin, I tried to add [email protected] to my Steam account yesterday but if found 0 results, so how did you add him with that email? I tried today also and it's still 0.

this is mastercu from mmobay
Yes, I see he said that, but if they were an impostor, they are going to lie.

The Steam username in the screenshot is cuongcubu, but the username MasterCU sent you in PM was different.

However the Steam account cuongcubu was registered 2004, which means this was not a newly created Steam account to impersonate someone. This scammer has had this account for 7 years, so it would be highly unlikely that this Steam user just randomly found this website and decided to impersonate one of our members.

I also don't see Reklin giving out his Steam info anywhere, nor could I could find it listed anywhere, so if it was an impersonator, how could they have found his Steam account?

Something doesn't add up.

MasterCU, why did you tell him to add [email protected] for the Steam account if you don't use that email? Please PM the the email address currently linked with your Steam account.

4. how was the "$25" uniquely define that is was me? in that public thread you stated $25 yourself.....
-the RIGHT and smart thing for you to do is have the person you're trading with make a direct post in your thread stating who they are using what
-never have I said this person "cuongcubu" on steam was me or anything of that sort

and also - you do realize that the name on steam profile and friend list can be changed easily? so it did not matter if his account was registered in 2004 or not

sent additional PM to admin

4. - In the steam conversation I said the price was now $30. To which you replied "You said 25 in PM". Regardless of what price I put on the thread, how did he know I pm'd you that?

Also, it's extremely easy to change an email on a steam account :S

---------- Post added 11-22-2011 at 08:15 PM ----------

For the sake of argument, the only guy that I gave my steam info to was View Profile: Frylock569 - Trade WoW Accounts - World of Warcraft Account Trading - MMOBay.net - So if somehow it wasn't mastercu, then it was him.

?? You can make up whatever you want. You just assumed that it was me and I'm saying that wasn't me. I do not even see any part of the part of "To which you replied "You said 25 in PM" anywhere in your ss

---------- Post added 11-22-2011 at 10:13 PM ----------

All I see in the ss of the steam convo that you had with the impersonator was info thats easily obtained through public view
"join dated 2009... post count.... feedback score...." <-----anyone can see this on this forum

Why would I make it up? If I didn't believe it was you who wronged me, then I'd have no reason to try to prove it was you. That's what was said in the convo.

So we're all clear, this is what happened.

MasterCU contacted me on MMOBAY -> Gave me his steam email -> I can't remember if I gave him my steam, I don't think I did as it's not on my outbox or any of the messages that I can see -> I added [email protected] to steam (giving you the benefit of the doubt and exploring the POSSIBILITY that it might not have been you), someone else did add me on steam and I accepted, though their name wasn't cuongcubu, and they're no longer on my friendslist -> I spoke to "cuongcubu" and he commented on our PM's, asked me to go first, out of good will I did -> He swiftly went offline on steam, and MasterCU went offline the same time on MMObay as I recall.

Honestly, I still fully believe it was you, but I'm smart enough to know that it's possible I got it wrong somewhere. Which is why I told you that Frylock569 is the only person I gave my steam to, and he has 2 negative feedbacks for scamming which is the main reason why I'd be willing to consider it wasn't you.

edit: Reading it back, here is the ONLY way I can think of that it couldn't have been you. I searched the [email protected] email on steam, had one result and added it. As I mentioned, I also accepted someone else that day, but their name wasn't cuongcubu at the time. Now, is it possible that the [email protected] add didn't go through? As in, wasn't accepted or something? While the other guy I accepted did, and he possibly changed his name to cuongcubu? (even though he has no past aliases that show up for me on my friendslist). Which if true would mean the scammer wasn't you, but was Frylock569, as he's the only person I gave my SteamID to regarding BF3.

Mate, I'm not trying to be an arse, Christmas is round the corner and I don't appreciate a mug with no morals scamming me, so you can understand my annoyance. Atleast I've given you a theory on how it might not have been you, that's the most I can do.

Again, looking at your screenshots convo with him, all I saw was public info about me that can be obtained from anyone by just simply looking at this forums. So what "PM comments" are you talking about? and beside I never even stated any trade specifics through PM's, You're making stuff up. I only gave you my contact through PM which you said you couldn't find me on steam and that was it. Again, you've been scammed by an impersonator.

Ok, so the facts are this:

Steam names can be easily changed, so that is now irrelevant
reklin tries to add [email protected] (he's not 100% sure if the user was ever added)
Same day reklin adds another user he doesn't know
reklin chats with cuongcubu via Steam and not the username MasterCU gave

reklin sent me a screenshot of his Steam profile with the email displayed, however I am still unable to find his account searching by email. So if I had to guess, I'd say Reklin you never added MasterCU to your friends list.

The simple fact is the username MasterCU gave you in the PM wasn't the username you chatted with. This was information you had from the start and should have realized the usernames didn't match.

I don't know how this other person got your username, perhaps they found it using an older Steam username as I doubt MN WTS BF3 Key was your original name.

At this time I do not believe MasterCU was involved and think it was an impostor so I will close this.

If you have any new info PM me or open a new scam thread if you believe it was someone else.
