What is the dispute about? Hi I bought elsword currency ed the first time of this guy and it was normal I went to buy 296.65 worth of ed from him again and he said he was going to send it and he blocked me if possible I would like a refund or something and for him to be banned of this platform so he cants scam anyone else

first & foremost, he was on a lvl 99 elboy with no ERP / only +9 gear. he had been buying ED and was going to say no if he wanted me to go first, but he paid first. for the second payment i was taxed which indicates he sent it as something other than friends and family and as seen by the fact that he paid a fee in his screenshots - i was already on the fence given his no equip character / no ERP and when he changed payment method second time around i already knew he was going to attempt a chargeback scam (which he did directly after). I don't care to argue with people when it comes to paypal, so when i saw the taxed payment, i blocked him. If he wins the paypal dispute then so be it, otherwise, its what he gets for trying to scam

also in these you can see i used the same card the only reason i brought up apple pay was because my friend wanted to pay but when he said he didnt want to use apple pay i said okay and had my friend send me the money and i paid off of paypal

soon you blocked me i tried to dispute it also i couldnt even dispute it because it was friends and family also look at the time on the screenshot on the discord you said im round up the ed at 8:11 pm I texted you at 8:18 and saw i was blocked and i made the dispute at 8:30 shown in the images i sent and if yall want i send a bank statement with money still out my account

I haven’t checked his images, however I have not won the dispute. Zion is also able to check this (as he’s the one who created the dispute) so not sure why he’s going “Thank you” as if I did win.

EDIT: Checked his PayPal update image - while he has lost the dispute, no money has been cleared/given back to me. Regardless, it still stands I’ve been asked to refund money once it’s gone through. Given that he attempted changing payment methods to try & scam me, why do I give him the benefit of returning the funds? This is also plainly glossing over the fact that all conversation took place over discord, so not sure how this case even has validity on epicnpc.

I did attach an image showing the case was still under review. Anyway, I’ll attach another showing it’s pending. Is your ploy acting like a kid & calling me a liar so the mods on here will take your side?

This is the final statement from my bank of the money being clear to PayPal you probably can’t touch the money because I open the dispute but the case was closed as you can see you should have never tried to scam can you even show you have the amount of Ed we asked for ?

This is typically an issue over Paypal. Once it clears the refund is owed. We investigate disputes were they can prove who they traded with whether or not if it happened on discord or not.

Just because someone ended up sending a way you didn't want doesn't mean you can keep the money. That would be scamming.

Ruling still stands. Update when Paypal decides. Warning will remain until then.

Even he would not know as Paypal can take time to finish it. He will have a do not trade warning. I will request updates as well.

There is nothing that he can specifically do currently. Just because it shows that Paypal has closed it on your end doesn't mean that it is closed on his end. That can take several days to resolve itself. I will request updates every two days until it has been resolved. If after a week there is no resolution he will be banned. He can then resolve the issue with you privately to be unbanned.

After he is banned feel free to dispute it through your bank.

Personally I believe you should be getting banned for attempting to chargeback scam. You changed the payment method, and while this is being seen as “it’s just not the method you wanted”, this was clearly done with malicious intent. While I hope the mods are able to realize this, I can’t really do anything about it. I will be refunding you when I’m able to.
