I was attempting to trade chromedout09 a few accounts for his hunter, i havnt used my steam account in about 2 months and had a new laptop it wasnt installed on. im also at a public library which may have caused firewall issues but i doubt it. heres the convo.

Im pretty sure i had the pass right for my css account, after failed retrieval attempts i tried another pass i commonly use and steam suddenly said it had issues contacting the steam servers which was odd because i could log onto my cs 1.6 account just fine. he more than likely was able to get it to work and took off. i still have the screenshot of where it says please enter in 5 characters for the new password aswell.
