Hello, I'm here to report an scammer that used PayPal chargeback.
Scammer information:
Discord user: Randomkid#4200 (image)
PayPal Address: [email protected]
Scammer name: Robert Knouse
Country: Malasia
This scammer contacted me via Discord on 08/11/2020 11pm and told me he was interested on a Idle Heroes Account I was selling:
After some bargain we agreed on $40 for the account:
NOTE: Please notice the amount of money of his local currency, MYR 171.78
He paid $40 for the account:
Once I confirmed the payment I delivered the account details as usual, and he confirmed to me that everything was ok:
Until here everything was normal like any other transaction I had, but one hour later he wrote me again telling me that he wanted to buy another account, a more expensive one ($70) andI thought that was really weird because the begged so much for a discount on the first account which was $50 and I sold it for $40, he even asked for less even when I already offered him $10 off:
We agreed $65 on the second account and he sent me an screenshot of the payment:
This is the screenshot of the second payment, and please notice three things:
1- In the previous screenshot I wrote that I was waiting for the email that PayPal sends once someone makes a payment, that email never appeared on the inbox, so no payment was done
2- He had a tab opened with 65 USD to MYR even when PayPal does that for you (proof) which is very suspicious
3- There is an amount appearing on the PayPal report that is exactly the same as the first payment RM171.78 (image) and $65 USD is supposed to be RM267.28 as it can be seen on the Exchange Rate section
It was very clear that the screenshot of the second payment was edited, probably using the browser console, I notice this and proceeded to deliver him a fake account to see his reaction:
He didn't even checked if the account was fine he just type ok thx and deleted me from Discord:
At this point I was expecting a PayPal chargeback of the first account payment, this happened on 04/12/2020, where a dispute was opened because of an unauthorized payment:
As usual, PayPal is completely useless against scammers, today I received an email telling me that they don't only discounted me $40 USD but an additional $20 of some return fee, so I lost $60 because of this guy, and I really don't have any hope that PayPal will solve this on my favor, so please, ban this person from the site.
