Hello EpicNPC members,
I couldn't find a more proper section to post this in, but this will do: I have a few questions/problems and hopefully some experienced seller can help me out.
Recently I've bought/sold 200 accounts/items. Around 95% was paid/received in PayPal transactions.
It was my second Paypal account since the first one got closed recently. Why? -> (I was 14 year when I created and they close it 6 years later after finding out.)
My new PayPal (that I created 3 weeks ago) got closed 4 times already. How? -> (By logging into my laptop on other network, having disputes, verifying information, security checks, etc.)
Today it received a warning, for passing limit of 1800$ received in total. This doesn't means I made 1800$ profit or have that amount on my Paypal, but I RECEIVED it in total.
If I go over 2500$, PayPal will automatically shutdown my account, unless I verify with a lot of information (what is currently in progress and I will hear the result in two days.)
The following problem:
Nearly all transactions have been sent as 'Friends&Family' (gift). So I totally overused this method by sending and receiving transactions.
PayPal want for sellers, (virtual or real items) for you to use the 'Personal Good' (what means it easy for the buyer to dispute), especially with virtual goods! It's not guaranteed you win the case, evenwhile you have sent the item/account.
My account will probably be closed, and I will receive the remaining money in 180 days. (I can live with this, but this does not solve the problem of my future sales).
What I have done is considered a big NO-GO according to PayPal since they only make money by people using the 'Personal Goods' method of selling. (Thanks to the fee's).
Sellers SHOULD use this method at ALL times selling ANYTHING.. Right...
I have called 2 hours (in total) with PayPal last week, since I got scammed about 720$ in total in two weeks! How? -> (Un-authorized login it's called: It's when you receive the money (as gift), and it gets refunded a day later cause of it.)
How? -> People log into their VPN and buy their virtual goods from that point/access. The next morning they call PayPal and claim they got 'hacked'. And trust me, you lose the case, happend twice already.
(I had all the info as; Skype conversation, e-mail confirmations, etc. But nope, you will lose the case.)
-> I found something interesting to say as defence in order to win dispute-cases like these:
This only works till July (if you're lucky), since from July on, they will do their best to re-make the PayPal conditions, and do their best to make Virtual Goods also buyers-protected.
My main questions:
1) Is there ANY way around this? -> Using paypal by receiving payments as gift and sending payments as gift (and hopefully not getting scammed), (this does not incl. account recovery of steam of course).
2) Are there more 'safe' money websites, what bring less risk to the seller (easier to win the dispute case).
3) What to do or sent to PayPal when you encounter an unfair dispute?
4) How do big powersellers do it, having over hundred transactions á day, without risking their money in disputes or getting their account shut by overusing the gift method like mine.
Things I have considered myself:
- PayPal has donation -ish account for charitycompanies, but no. You are eventually still a seller, and if they find out (by a simple dispute perhaps) you are commiting fraud, you will have serious problems.
- Accept PaySafeCards? Open some 'webstore' at PayPal, so you can accept PSC what gets directed to your PayPal account? (Probably +huge fee).
- Perhaps using BitCoin only? But this would probably reduce my sales gigantic, since there are not that many BTC users around?
- Go to the bank, create a seconday 'new' bank account (inside your bank account) (if you know what I mean), so you will receive the money from Paypal to your same bank account by using a new PayPal account and "new" bank account
(what is just a secondary bank account connected to the primary one).
Paypal checks only your last 4-digits of the bank account, IP log and verified information as names, phonenumbers, etc. etc. <- This sounds like a lot of effort and risk.
- Perhaps just continue, selling accounts as Personal Good (incl. the fee's) and hope to win dispute-cases if the buyer disputes?
- Suicide. jk
But seriously: I'm looking for a LEGAL-method of selling, but simply making it more safe for myself. I'm a bit done and upset with the recent dispute scams what happend to me.
If there is no solution for this, I will stop selling in general and unfortunately quit EpicNPC.
Please respond on this topic if you have ANY additional information or could answer one of the questions I mentioned above! or advice me!
Thanks in advance,
Bas

The buyer agreed to the terms of "non-refundable virtual item" when they clicked the 'buy' button. The item is digital goods which make it intangible.Paypal please refer to 13.3 Ineligible Items. PayPal Purchase Protection only applies to PayPal payments for certain tangible, physical goods. Payments for the following are not eligible for reimbursement under PayPal Purchase Protection: Intangible items, including Digital Goods Services. Also in the item's title it states "Subscription (Intangible item - Non Refundable)" so before the user buys this item it is made very clear to them that this is a non-refundable, intangible item. They agree to that statement before hitting the "buy" button.
