Describe how you were scammed: It was my fault by trading first, but after having several successful transactions larger than the 10 million with no chargebacks, and even chatting on skype with him for large amounts of time voice and texting, I didn't even hesitate to go first. I thought I had developed a nice friend.

Did you do any background searching before the transaction? Yes, I was more than patient... I waited several weeks trying to contact him to no avail. He would just ignore my messages on Skype then log off shortly after.
