A new section has been added to the forum rules in regards to Duplicate Threads.
https://www.epicnpc.com/infocenter/forumrules.html

There has been some confusion and rightly so about what is considered a duplicate thread and what isn't, so hopefully this will clear things up. The new section is below.

Duplicate Threads

  • Threads that are nearly identical are not allowed
  • All threads of one type should be included in a single thread based on the forum filters. No thread splitting.
    • Example: A forum has two filters 'Leveling' and 'Boosting'
    • The seller can created 2 threads. All leveling should go in one thread, all boosting in another.
    • You cannot split boosting services into multiple threads unless separate filters exist.
  • If a forum has no filters, users should still try to consolidate their threads by type.
  • Accounts Threads: Seller's can create a separate thread for each unique account they're selling.
    • If a seller has a store thread that lists multiple accounts for sale, they cannot also have a separate thread for each account.
      • The only exception is for rare or expensive accounts. Those can appear both in the store thread and a separate thread.

If you questions or suggestions to further improve these rules, please post below.

Edit: Added additional rules for account threads.

ok so, about destiny 2 section i see u split the forum in raids, pvp trials and other.

so imo there shouldnt be any split whatsoever in that thread, coz as u can see everyone offers pvp boosts ( trials and iron banner) and pve boosts ( everything else basically, power level boost, leveling 1-20, raiding boost, nightfall strikes etc etc) in a single offer. if this is allowed everyone will just split their thread in 3 types coz 90% of the sellers there offer everything there is in the game - and they do it in a single thread. the destiny 2 forum which is titled boosting and power leveling shouldnt have any additional subcategories, boosting should consist of all the above. The power leveling is basically power level boost, ( power level is the power your gear has it is literaly titled power level) and is not power leveling like in wow or diablo where it means leveling 1-110 in wow or 1-70 in diablo.

as it stands everyone can just split their thread in 3 threads for maximum exposure. i dont know, just my 2c but i think 3x threads should not be allowed for on account services, no matter the type. additional threads can be made perhaps for job offering, or guides/coaching which is completely different from boosting and does not require account sharing and so on.

If we must close 3rd thread , what about reviews in that one , will they be moved to other thread aswell? For example one of my threads is for Raiding and one is for Mythic+ , i should keep one of those two but i dont wanna lose all positive reviews on second one.

We want to make the filters as useful as possible for buyers. If I'm a buyer and go to a game and select Boosting > PVP, I want to see all services that provide that boost type.

If we group everything into one thread, it can become too large and overwhelming for buyers. Too much information on one page, plus the filters become useless.

If I click PVP and see the same threads as PvE, what's the point of having filters?

For forums that have filters, you can split threads based on filters.
For forum that have no filters, then members can try to consolidate by type.
-- For these forum, members can contact us to request filters if there's enough activity in the forum.

There`s gonna be alot of 3thread spamming even with the filters, at least u should take a look to those who have 3 threads and each thread contains 2 sentences or 1 picture or link to own website.

Those shouldnt be allowed imo, id be ok if the thread becomes too large and too much info in it, totally understandable, but not like this, 3 threads with poor info in them.

Aswell id suggest u reconsider allowing a seller to link his own website in 3 threads in the same subforum, thats already spamming.

At least for the upcoming forums/subforums make it so one seller is allowed to have just one thread per subforum.

Just my opinion

Threads must contain

- item/service description
- accepted payment methods
- If the thread has a link to a website, then the thread also must contain pricing information.

If those threads have all that, then they're not braking any rules.

If a thread is missing any of that info, but still has a link to their site, then that's spam. They're receive an infraction to fix it and if they don't the thread will be removed as spam.

I think the rule we have in place work, but maybe we need to enforce them more.

For example, if you go to the Dota 2 account forum, you can see the filters on the side ranging from 3000 MMR to 7000+ MMR. An expensive account would an account well over 7000+.

If a forum has no filter, then you can go by average prices.

For example, WoW accounts typically range from $50 - 1000. If you have an account for $1500, that could have it's own thread even if it was listed in a store thread.
