Let me tell you things the way they really are. I have made a post here on EpicNPC to buy an account. I have clearly stated my conditions, my preferred method of payment (PayPal, which is a golden standard on this site), etc.
Please note anything more expensive than monthly subscription (i.e., $10) would kind of defeat the whole purpose. I want to buy an account that has been abandoned for whichever reason, be it not enough time, money, it was secondary account, or you just did not like the game. This way, you can at least get a couple of bucks back.
Would pay by PayPal.
Andson11 then contacted me to say that he had an account he would have liked to offer me. At this stage, he only said it had one level 80 and that it was ready immediately. There is no post here that he would link to, no price, nothing. So I asked him for basic info about the account and some screenshots-a completely normal procedure. I was not going to agree to buy something I had never seen, let alone from a person with zero seller feedback.
He gave some basic info (there were some details he "thought" were right) and stated his price range of 15-30 (which was outside my stated budget). Based on that very sketchy information, I said I would be willing to pay 10 dollars (btw my only actual offer that had failed to materialise throughout our whole conversation) if he was able to produce screenshots that would back up the information he provided so far.
He sent 4 low-quality mobile photos of a monitor (not screenshots) which showed nothing but the looks of 4 characters on the character selection screen. He stated that he couldn't send any more here and wanted to switch to Discord (go figure why). He offered to sell it for 13 pounds (i.e., 16 dollars, and still not in my stated budget).
At this stage, I have raised my concerns about his actual ownership of the account, given his unwillingness to post proper screenshots here on EpicNPC, and once again politely reminded him of my conditions that were clearly stated from the very beginning.
He replied that he was indeed the original owner and that he had sent me a discord request. The conversation so far is on EpicNPC and I would be more than willing to share it in its entirety to prove my point.
Hereafter, we switched to Discord. Here he posted more mobile photos (again, not actual screenshots) that did back up some of the info he provided, but not all. He then immediately started to pressure me for a deal (we did not at any point agree on a price) and a bank transfer via Wise (I clearly stated I would use PayPal for security reasons). He even sent his name, address, and bank details without me ever asking for them or let alone agreeing to any of his offers.
He lowered the price to 9 pounds (11.24 dollars, so still outside the budget stated initially) and at first refused PayPal, stating fees he would have to pay. Without any response from me to that offer (I can only assume he thought I would agree), he went to make a PayPal account (now he states that he made it only for me-firstly, I did not agree to any of his offers, so why would you go ahead with making a PayPal account for the sake of one deal that you did not even make? Not to mention the only feedback he has ever received on EpicNPC states he did pay by PayPal, so he had to have it at some point anyway. And it only takes 10 minutes to make anyway.)
I got back to him clearly and politely stating my reasons for refusing his offer and said that if 9 pounds is the lowest he is willing to go, I would understand if he were to look for a different buyer.
At this point, he got quite aggressive and impolite, and I thus considered negotiations to be terminated. He then went here to leave false feedback, which is a clear attempt to get back at me for refusing his offer.
His whole argument about wasting time lacks any merit-I have a full-time job and other real life commitments, so I cannot check EpicNPC nor Discord constantly. That being said, I have always replied to all of his correspondence within 24 hours. The whole affair took less than five days. I would understand if I promised the seller to buy his account and then waited a week to get back to him, saying I would not buy it, as a waste of time. But this? If I were to leave negative feedback for every potential buyer who then refused my offer or simply stopped responding, I would have to give out hundreds of them. That is not how trading works—negotiation is part of it, and hardly a waste of time.
The only time being wasted at this point is mine and that of the staff here at EpicNPC. The fact that andson11 does not take no for an answer does not entitle him to leave false feedback. He is clearly new to selling, but that does not excuse him from inappropriate behaviour, impoliteness, and finally an attempt to bully me into a deal.
I am more than happy to share the whole Discord conversation as well, as I have nothing to hide and it would provide further proof of the seller's bullsh*t. I would have included it already if it were not for the sellers' threats of legal consequences of doing so (which I genuinely doubt and if I am given the green light by staff here I will do so).
