If you havnt noticed this yet, you can now recall an account with the current SQA + registered email on the account. You just need to know the NAME of the email... not the pass. There is going to be alot more recalls now that its this easy.

Go check account management so you know.

If you buy an account - Change the email x2. change it once when you get it. Then change it again so the seller cannot recall it.

Just an FYI for people buying / selling accounts.

By the looks of it, it simply sends an email to the email address currently registered to that account with a LINK that you can click and then you're able to specify the new password on the account through their website.

Previously it changed the password on the account to something random and emailed the new password to the email address registered on the WoW account.

I don't see any reason why this would make it necessary to change the email address on the account a second time.

What I would have to assume they where trying to accomplish was making it so someone who knows someone's email address and SQA can't continuously change the password on an account which wasn't their own.

on the 3rd step you have to put in the email x2 to confirm it. There is absolutly no links so ANYONE who knows the account name, sqa , and current email address can change it to their own.

Hmm, weird. I tried this on one of my personal accounts and it sent a link to the email address registered on the WoW account to click on to change the password... did I miss something?

Hit "Forgot your account/password" on the main page of account management. Then it will say like "Forgot your account name"

"Forgot your password"

then under that it says

"Change your email"

and it will ask for your account name, then the SQA/old email, then you hit "next" and it says "Enter new email address/confirm email address" (you type it twice).

Then hit submit and it says "your email has now been changed."

I did it a few times on 2-3 different accounts and all were changed. No links required

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Thanks for the heads up.
