Realm Transfer question

Just curious to know if anyone has had any problems buying accounts then transferring it to another server. I have to use my own CC to pay for the transfer and before i do it, was wondering if anyone has done this only to get the account banned because the CC Name and main account name don't match up.

to qualify for a transfer, the LAST NAME of both accounts must MATCH (be the SAME) - but i am sure that you already know that.

as for your CC thing, usually it is not an issue (unless you may have open or payed for another account with this CC under blizzard many times etc, and in that case it may get flagged and locked for "security")

however, if you want my down to earth opinion, the person who sold you the account probably recalled it and emailed

[email protected] or the webform

notifying them of an UNAUTHORIZED transfer. thus, blizzard has locked the original and the transfered to account and is now pending a notarization for him to unlock it.

i do not think it has anything to do with your CC and account names not matching - i have done it many times without problems.

contact the person you bought the account from.

I'm sorry but I'm quite confused. The account in question is fine no one has recalled it and I can log in just fine.

I'll try to state my question more clearly:

I just traded my account and now I would like to transfer it to a different server so I can play with my friends (I am not going to try to transfer it to a different WoW account.) I have all the information on the account, yes ALL the information and I don't think this guy is a scammer at all.

What I'm worried about is now that I've changed the email address and logged in from a different IP, I'm really scared to transfer the account and possibly get banned. Additionally if I pay for the transfer with my credit card (which doesn't match the name on the account) it will look more suspicious.

Please let me know what you guys normally do and if I have any cause to be concerned about transferring this character.

yes they wont lock it as long as you dont say you traded in game but the cc name does not matter /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif have fun with your friends

you can transfer it once for sure. even if names dont match

but use pre paid cards after you transfer.
