When you're transferring a character between an account, I know you need to have the same last name, but do you need to know the secret question/answer?

Yes you need to know secret question answer but idk about the names
I usually put the exact same name to be 100% sure

How do you find out what the question is with a battle.net account?

go to the change email part on battle.net it asks for the answer with the question right above it.
