Questions for anyone experienced with selling WoW accts

I'm new to this area and curious:
1. Are there any complications in buying a new account and xferring a single character to it, then selling that new account
2. Is it generally more worthwhile to sell to established sites or put up for sale/auction
3. Why do people make potential buyers post in their threads

1) You want to sell one char from the account that has many? Well cost of keys ~70, and prices on wow account are going down.
2) Established site would buy it cheaper then everyone. Big resellers would pay a bit more. Auction/sale would be the best, but a lot higher chances to get scammed.
3) To make sure that they don't impersonate, and check their post/feedback history.

I was wondering if there were any restrictions in the character transfer process that try to hinder account sellers in this situation. From what I've researched, I can instantly xfer a single character to a new account as long as both Bnet accounts have the same name and then easily sell it from there.
Also, what kind of scam could happen to me as an account seller?

Scams

Money recall - paypal dispute, creditcard chargeback.
Account recall - can happen anytime, original owners can recall at any point of time.
