Question about Banned People

I see so many banned users. Is it because they are scammers or something? I've been reading through posts and see people who have legitimately contributed to threads/posts banned. Do they contribute to gain trust with others?

And how does one get TWV? A lot of transactions?

Normally most banned members will be users that have been scammed before for scamming or multiple other things
