Possible dispute with me and a buyer?

I'm not gonna copy the dispute template since I'm not here to file one. Just to ask a question. If this should be moved please feel free to move it mods.

I sold a SWTOR account to someone back in December of last year, apparently the account was just banned for an attempted recall on the account and the buyer is demanding a refund. So I want to know if I'm at fault here? By epicnpc rules do I owe this guy a refund?

I bought the account. I was not the original owner.

I made it very clear I wasn't the original owner.

I never promised or guaranteed the account in any way.

Buyer knew the account didn't come with ID or anything like that.

I have never scammed anyone on this forum and don't want to be accused of being one.. but I can't see how I should owe the guy a refund considering the circumstances.

Generally you are responsible for accounts you trade off unless you specify a time frame or condition that nullifies said responsibility in a thread/post/etc.

It the buyer was aware you weren't the OO and you had no ID and couldn't get it, then still agreed to purchase the account, I would have to hear more about the terms of sale, but I would probably be leaning in your favor.

Another issue I have is that if the OO did try to recall the account, he probably wouldn't have failed at it and gotten the account banned, so it's likely someone else besides the OO tried to recall. I would need to see some proof from the buyer on who attempted the recall and depending on that it might change my decision.
