information is not sent through trade guardian. once funds are sent via trade guardian seller gets a notification to deliver. seller pm information to buyer. then marks sent. then buyer confirms delivery in trade guardian

I didn't see the need to open another topic, hope is ok I am asking here, but what happens if for example seller provides all information to buyer, e-mail included and the buyer will just change e-mail information and say he didn't receive valid info from seller ? Would it be allowed to act like this for safety reasons : Ask for confirmation on skype or pm that is all good prior to giving e-mail password and prior to asking for trade guardian confirmation.

[HIDE=15000]- Buyer sends payment
- Seller send account login information and asks buyer to confirm he received what he paid for, in a message on let's say skype or PM, prior to giving e-mail password
- Once the buyer confirms is all good, he then offers the e-mail password and awaits for buyer to confirm on trade guardian as well

Asking this, because that's the way I've acted yesterday on my first trade, and I was lucky in doing so, because I had to ask the buyer 3 times for over 1 and half hours to confirm on epicnpc that he received the info, time in which I've had no control over the account he purchased, just a confirmation on skype which made me feel safer, knowing I can open a dispute and prove he did receive it, in fact that was the only thing that motivated the buyer to confirm on trade guardian, me asking for pictures to confirm his trade guardian actions in order to avoid a dispute.

I've heard of cases in Tera, in which the buyer used liberate scrolls to remove soulbound from items and then mail them to other account, and then stated he didn't receive what he paid for, the seller was not able to resolve it with game support since he didn't have ownership of the account anymore, and he had no proof that buyer received what he was supposed to. This is something one of my client said he bumped into, and I used hide tags to avoid spreading such info or giving ideas to scammers. I mostly sell only tera accounts and I made it a habit to always provide login information and asking buyer to login and confirm is all good before handing out e-mail password.[/HIDE]

If the buyer does not confirm they received the account/item or lies about it, we will ask the seller to provide chat logs showing the item or account login info was sent.

In the case of an account, their will be proof that the seller gave the login info and in most cases the buyer will also need further help from the seller if there's a security code. There will be chat logs for this so we will be able to see if info was provided.

In the case of an in-game item, sellers should take a screenshot of the before and after to show the item was sent to the buyer. Every game has some sort of "sent" notification message when something is traded or sent via mail. So we can confirm that way or if it was through auction house there's usually a history page to show items bought and sold in most games.

Thanks for the answer that does indeed explain pretty much everything for me and makes me feel safer, however, still not sure if we're allowed to create our own terms and conditions using the trade guardian, provided that the buyer knows about it before/prior to trade and he accepts those terms. IE : Asking for chat confirmation before handing password of e-mail account.

Would that be something acceptable if buyer would know this before trade ? Or are the guardian's terms set in stone ? Thanks in advance once again, sorry to bug you about it, would just like to make sure I won't do anything wrong, I'd rather keep away from stuff I'm unsure about.

Edit : Are you planning to add the option for partial payment plans via trade guardian ? I believe it was suggested before, it would imply a system which would accept partial payments every X amount of days, time in which info such as account's e-mail would remain under epicnpc's ownership, and only once a full payment would be made, that e-mail info would be sent to the buyer.

The seller and buyer can setup the transaction however they want. If you're the seller and want to confirm via chat before making the email change, you can do that.

Once you start a TG transactions, the buyer and seller still need to communicate. That's when you can discuss how the exchange will happen.

No, we are not planning to implement partial payments and have no plans for that in the future.

Thanks a lot for your patience and answers.
