I've also had a negative experience with Player Up where the middle man did not pay me. But that isn't even the worst part.
This may sound like an unbelievable story, but what do I have to gain in lying? It's also a long story, so I'll keep it brief. This all happened years ago.
I tried contacting them for over 7 days. No response. I left them a negative review on trust pilot, and they responded within 5 minutes asking me to take down my review and threatened me. I was completely flabbergasted on how they dealt with this issue. Not only that, but I really tried my best to communicate with them, but it was equivalent to talking to a child, constantly throwing tantrums, threats, and lies. By then, I decided that I wanted nothing to do with the company, as it was a fruitless argument if the other party is resorting to lies, extortion, and manipulation just to save face. They offered me money to take down the review, and I refused to do that.
They retaliated by releasing all my personal information on their public forum. (My ID, my personal photo, my credit card, my address). I threatened to sue them, and their response was basically, "You'll end up paying a lot of money in court fighting us, it'll be easier for you to just remove the review." When they noticed I was serious in taking them to court, they caved in to my request and deleted all my personal information from their database. Over the years they tried to get my review down from trust pilot, and trust pilot even ended up contacting me and I refused to take it down. Their practices are very shady and unethical. After witnessing and experiencing their actions first hand, I can say with certainty that a large portion of the positive reviews on their trust pilot page are not authentic.
Thankfully, I ended up finding EpicNPC, and so far, it's the complete opposite to what I experienced on Player Up.
