Hey guys, I'm attempting to sell my WoW account at the moment as I have been scammed once already, although I managed to recover my account. I want to do some thorough research before I attempt it again. I have a verified Paypal account and from my reading this is what I have as my steps to go about it so far.
1) Post my account details in the buy/sell forums
2) respond to forum posts with good reputation/post counts
3) come to an agreed price on the account with the buyer
4) Ask for buyer's verified Paypal email
5) Request money from the buyer with an invoice via Paypal with "goods" as the invoice type
6) On the invoice include Name/Level/Server of the character being sold as the item description.
7) Subtract 5 dollars from the agreed upon price for the character and place that 5 dollars as a shipping fee so the buyer has payed for shipping.
8) Check that the buyer is also Paypal verified and send the invoice.
9) Print a copy of the invoice.
10) If the buyer agrees with this invoice he/she will send agreed upon amount through Paypal.
11) Print a copy of the payment transaction.
12) Type up a text document with account name, password, secret question, secret question answer, and telephone number.
13) Print off the text document.
14) Place the invoice, transaction receipt, and text document in an envelope to be shipped to the buyer.
15) Ask the buyer if the address on the Paypal receipt is the same as the shipping address and NEVER mail to another address.
16) Go to the post office and send the envelope to the buyer as registered mail. Price should be 3 dollars and some change for transactions under 250$ and 5 dollars and some change for transactions over which Paypal will also require a signature for.
17) Contact the buyer again to let them know the information has been mailed, and consider giving it to them online if they have good reputation on Markee Dragon.
18) Wait for the buyer to call you upon receiving the package to change the email address of the account and to know that the payment is secure.
Is there anything that I'm missing? Also what other ways can I increase my reputation aside from becoming a "Trust Who" verified member, which I intend to do. Thanks in advance for any help. =)
