Paypal chargeback question

Hello back around in march i sold close to 200k gold for around $600 to this person. Immediately after getting the money he seemed sort of like some fishy guy by the way he talked and i think he used a stolen paypal account to pay. I transferred the money to my bank account and then i closed my paypal and removed the cc's and bank info from the account before that. Now 5 months later i get an e-mail stating Final reminder to provide information on case xxxx. Now after i closed my paypal account i made a new one and put all my info in it again with my bank and cc info. So when i log in i see no case in my account because i already closed my account and they emailed me still some how. I'm wondering can paypal still do a chargeback and take money from my bank even if i closed the paypal and removed the bank account info? I have no money at all in my bank so I'm wondering should i just close my bank account right now. I've been screwed in the past by paypal and i can't have this happen again

Are you using the same bank/cc info on your new paypal account from your old paypal account? If so, that is most likely how they were able to trace it back to you. Even though you removed the info from your old account, it does not mean that Paypal doesn't have it on their records anymore...

Basically, you should close your bank account that was linked to the old Paypal account. And if that bank account is the same one that you are using currently, then you are even more screwed.

Banks >>>>> Paypal always. Unless you can provide tangible evidence that you delivered goods to him.
