Paypal - Bank Return Inquiry

I got payed $350 for an account, i transfered 300 to my bank the funds didnt get locked or anything, but it says theres a dispute on the 350 transaction. The only thing it says is theres a [Inquiry Bank Return]. Under status it says paypal is reviewing the payment.

What does this mean?

It means you got scammed the guy buyed whatever you had to sell and now he's opening a dispute since it was a virtual item he's gonna get his money back and your paypal account is gonna go into Owed the ammount that he's calling back either that or they are gonna take it from your bank account if one is linked

Anything i can do about this?
The money is in my paypal account, and in transfer to bank.
But, what will happen if the money is in my bank account before the time they complete the investogation

If they have opened a dispute, stating that the person purchased a digital, intangible good from you, and it should really in most situations end well for you. With me, I haven't had a chargeback yet, but I keep logs of every convo, transfer receipt, and make sure to confirm the paypal Im being paid from is owned by the buyer.

This hasn't been updated by paypal for almost a month. I already transfered all the money to my bank account and used it for christmas shopping, so my bank account is fairly low. If this dispute is favored torward him will paypal withdraw the required funds out of my bank account? I dont want to overdraft, because fees are a [censored].

What can i do to close this up.

no one knows paypal's exact policy with bank transfers. it would stand to reason that no company and take money out of your bank account without federal authorization or your direct approval.

i think the worst that will happen is your paypal account will go into negative and the creditors will come - possibly affecting your credit rating.

Well i dont want to [censored] over my credit rating right now, should i call paypal? I mean paypal is generally unhelpful with anything when contacted by phone, but i dont know what to do.

i think you ought to wait till you get the outcome of the dispute. has there been any update?
can you describe what happened in more detail?

that would help me gauge the probability of each outcome situation.

I sold an account for $350 to a user on here, he seemed legit, after i left the account to him and had the money in my paypal we parted ways. The next day i saw that there was a bank inquiry. Im not sure what it is but this is what it says;

Being Reviewed By PayPal
Status Details:
We are temporarily unable to determine the status of your case.

shouldnt the user file a claim first to recall the money before the banks get involved?

e.g.
unauthorized transaction
item not received?

something isnt adding up...

Unlink your bank from your PayPal ASAP otherwise they're gonna make a withdrawal from your bank account when the investigation is complete. I would also tell your bank to monitor all withdrawals from them.

I bought some gold, it wasn't delivered, I did a dispute, they found in favor of the seller.

I sold gold, delivered gold, payment was disputed, and they sided with the buyer.

Paypal is nothing but a two faced piece of garbage company. That is why I no longer use them.

Cash Deals:
I only use Moneygram, Western Union, or Moneypak to receive payments, and I do not purchase anything from anyone here unless they meet the following criteria:

1. TWV with a decent amount of rep.
2. Call me from a landline phone. (I cross reference this number with 411.com and ask them their address and see if it matches.)
3. Member of MD for at least a year.

When I do purchase, I send it online via Western Union, and if I get scammed, I dispute the payment with my bank.

If you use Western Union and get scammed, you are SOL unless you sent payment online with a credit/debit Visa/Mastercard/Whatever issued by your bank, then you can dispute it.

Now for trades, I'm slightly more lenient on who I accept trades from, I'm willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt as long as they have a decent amount of rep, simply because it's too easy to get my account back if I am scammed.

Any account that I am OO of, I keep the original CDKeys (I have a Filing Cabinet in my closet full of CDKey sleeves from the amount of accounts I leveled and sold/traded.) and in the event of me getting scammed, I recall my account, then fill out a Name Change request form and have the name on the account changed to my younger brother (who I am the legal guardian of).

It sounds like a lot of work, it is, but since I initiated these policies for myself, I have not been scammed once.
