Hi All,

I am new here and had a couple questions if anyone could answer. I read through the wiki entries but I am still unclear some things, so pardon my ignorance.

Firstly, I have a few lvl 80s and one or two I do not play, nor really wish to play much any more. I see there is a forum for trading characters on here, but am still unclear how it works.

Do people usually xfer the characters being transferred to each other's account or do they usually create new account, xfer those to the new account and <span style="font-style: italic">then </span>to their main account? (if it is the latter would that not add about 80$ or so to the process?)

Also, when one has merged their wow account to a BNET account, is it now impossible to trade characters?

If one was to buy a character/account here on markee from a reputable seller, would they ever be able to merge that purchased character with their main account?

1) Characters can only be transferred from account A to accoubt B if the last name on both accounts match. So, technically; with the implementation of battle.net you won't be able to ever have a bought character or traded character transferred to your main account; assuming of course the last names didnt match, you would have to pay for two accounts if you plan to play both characters. And yes, if you decided to play the character you just got and you want it on a new account for safety purposes, you would obviously have to buy a new set of CD Keys and then transfer the chracter to that acccount (assuming you registed the new account under the same last name as Account A).

2) Yes, when an unmerged WoW account is merged to a battle.net; it takes the battle.net account information. So, if you were to find an account that was unmerged you could merge it to your main battle.net account. However, you can't merge two battle.net accounts.

3) As I said above, the character would only be able to merged to your main account if the last name on the battle.net account somehow matched. However, if the WoW account wasn't merged - you could merge it to your own.

So just to make sure i have it all correctly;

In order to transfer a character off of Account(A) to Account(B); Account (A)+(B) need to have the same last name.

So that would mean that if I bought a character/account, I would have to pay for two accounts since the bought account would have a different last name than mine, unless for some crazy reason the person i bought it form had the same last name as me, which is probably not going to happen.
