new here, never bought or sold, want to buy - - Questions

I have my own wow account, got 1 70 and a few 60ish toons, and I'd like to buy a couple toons in classes that I don't allready have.

I just don't really understand how it works here, as far as i can tell, if I buy an account the person who sells it to me can take it back at any time with the secret question? There is a guide in the wiki to avoid this, but it says basicly that it does not work, lol, and there is some super secret method that does work, but it's a secret?

Also, looking at the accts for sale people seem to want buyers to just give them hundreds of $$ and hope for the best? Whats wrong with paypal, I have never had a problem with it and I've bought and sold lots, have a high seller rating and all that (from selling on ebay).

I would really like to buy a toon, but just sending money to a western union and hoping for account info in exchange seems like just asking to be robbed. And then, IF the account info DOES come, there is NO way to stop the seller from taking it back?

Please, if I'm just being dense take time to explain, or link me to info, I could use it.

Unfortunately Buying/Selling/Trading is ruined by the few people trying to get something for free.

My advice is to only deal with sellers with a decent amount of reputation on the site.

Also, the method I used for my personal account was:

I bought it
Transffered it to a fresh account.
Perma banned the original.

If you try to call up and access the original account they will tell you its closed and can't be re-opened under any circumstances.

I've yet to meet anyone that's been able to open / get back a perma-banned account.
