I sold my WoW account to a guy. He sent me the money over PayPal and I waited about 20 mins, then told PayPal to send me a check. A few mins later, PayPal says I have an open dispute/claim and that they reversed the PayPal check. I answered the claim saying that I sold intangible goods and waited a few days until PayPal answered me. It shows that they have closed the case. (My PayPal balance is $0.00)

Now there is a new dispute/claim up with a new case ID. The new one says "The buyer has filed a claim stating this transaction was made without the account holder’s knowledge or consent. Please click Resolve Claim Now to view your options to resolve this issue and how to provide relevant information will help in PayPal’s investigation. We must receive your response by 7 calendar days from case creation in order to include your input in our investigation."

I click on Resolve Now and it gives me the options of:

1)Provide Shipping Information.
2)I have not shipped the item and I will refund the payment.
3)I have refunded the payment for this transaction.

Please help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there Under.

Unfortunately you have a problem. Here are the steps to correct it:

1) Call Blizzard and recall your account. Just tell them that you forgot what e-mail was on the account and you need it reset. They will ask for the full name on the account (which is your name), the SQA, and I believe that is it.
2) Let the Paypal claim go. If he loses the dispute, he will just file a chargeback. If he files the chargeback, he auto-wins the case with Paypal.
3) Put the character back up for sale.

If you need tips and tricks for selling your character, please refer to: http://www.markeedragon.com/forums/ubbth...AMM#Post1025381

Best of luck to you mate and I hope everything gets resolved.

I don't care about winning the dispute, I just don't want to be -$250 on my PayPal account. PayPal has already limited my PayPal account and pretty much the only thing I can do is answer the dispute and get it over with. My PayPal balance is $0.00 right now. If I click "2)I have not shipped the item and I will refund the payment." will it put me at -$250 on my PayPal balance?

that is correct. however,
1) recall your account and add an authenticator to it - should be easy assuming you are the original owner with a copy of the ID and everything
2) should you lose the paypal dispute, call your credit card company / bank directly and explain you have been a victim of online fraud

apart from that, there are certain way you may win the paypal chargeback, contact me directly over aim to discuss this pleas as typing pains me smile
