Need help on preventing a scam.

Hey all. I bought a wow account yesterday from a guy in these forums, i will not post his name atm until i find out if its a scam.
The transaction went smooth, i paied him half of the money, he gave me the account email and pass, and secret answer i logged into game, changed the email and pass, then gave him the rest of the money and he send me his ID. The ID matches the name. I have been playing with this account since yesterady and i logged into blizzards website. I see that there is a ticket answer.. I never made a ticket. It was one of those customer service phone calls ticket. It says the following
Greetings,

We have been recently contacted over the phone regarding ownership of this Battle.Net account.
Please be notified that
we will require a Picture of government issued photo ID in order to process with any changes requested on the account.

We remain at your disposal if you have further questions.

Ok i texted the seller, he didnt asnwer, i called him, in england, (i am from another country), it rang a few times then it sends me to voice mailbox. Ok so what is that ticket answer? He obviously called blizzard, but what for? To get the account back?
I think its that because it says on the ticket "Regarding the ownership of the account".
What should i do? Open a case in paypal and try get my money back? Contact blizzard and change the name and country on the acc?

I advice you to read this guide before making a deal, alot of great info about how to prevent being scammed. Safe trading guide

You should wait until you not longer have access to the account before doing anything. Make a ticket and send them the copy of the ID and tell them that you want to cancel the process. If he contacts them again then they might request a ID scan next to newspaper, if they do then there isn't more you can do.

When you not longer have access to the account, you should open a scam dispute here using this formulate http://www.epicnpc.com/active-disputes/347715-***-how-report-dispute-dispute-form-***.html. and if the seller dosn't show any interest in resolving this then you should open a dispute on paypal and recall all the money.

You should rather report the account to blizzard after the OO recalled the account and try to get it banned. It would be a bad idea to try change the account name and country to yours when you still have access to the account because blizzard will just be suspicious and probably ban the account, because two different persons with different IP adresses trying to change on the account.

Well then it can be tough to get the money back. Anyway when you don't longer have access to the account then open a dispute here using the formulate i provided you.
 
ok after all, paypal has opened the case, seller says he sent the items blah blah, and they still want another response from him. what happened to me is that all info on account were changed, email, secret answer blah blah, he told me he got all the info from blizz, and he wants me to remove the dispute from paypal and he will give me the account back. i told him all i want is my money back. He ensisted that he didnt do antyhing and he was trying to help me. he told me he called blizzard and he will give me all the info as soon as he goes home. i will let you know with any updates

he got the account back, he told me to cancel the paypal dispute and he wil give me money back. i wont cancel it i think, i dont trust this guy. what do you guys think?

How do you know that he won't recall it again after you canceled the dispute? If i was you then i rather would require him to refund you the money since he already recalled the account from you and if he don't agree then just wait for a decision from Paypal. If this deal was legit then you shouldn't even have needed to bother about making a paypal dispute. So he tells you you that he gives back the account only if you cancel the dispute, if you cancel it and he don't give you back the account details as he told to then i don't see a possibility for you to open a new Paypal dispute.

paypal said they wont give me the money coz its for virtual goods. he got away. wont answer phone, emails and stuff. lost my money :(

Do not cancel the dispute , you will never be able to open one again for the same transaction. Best thing you do is call paypal , talk to them , explain that you found out you are dealing with a scammer, he won't answer your phone even if you tried several times, you got no email from him etc etc. (don't mention virtual goods in the convo btw)
You should call Blizzard aswell , you need to convince them that YOU are the real owner (it worked for me for an account that got recalled). They will ask you for the account info in real time , so have the ID scan at hand.(They might ask for a photo of the ID with a newspaper, if they do ...well atleast you tried)
Remind them several times that you found keyloggers in your system , try to sound a little worried about your main char's gear getting deleted etc. If they buy it ask them to change your SQ / SA.
If the owner tries to get it back again the account will be 100% banned so i don't see the reason he will try to recall a 2nd time.
