I've tried searching for some of the skype names that are listed in my scammer thread, but it is not showing up as a result: http://www.epicnpc.com/threads/698979

I've searched for skype names that I've added months ago, not the new ones.
I've searched both on Google and using the forum search. The thread does not show up in either case.
When I search for skype names that are in other people's threads in the same category, they appear normally.

I can confirm, but I'm not sure why it's happening. I made a copy of it and bumped both. It takes about an hrs to index new posts into search, so try again later today to see if both or one of the threads work. I'll know more in about an hr.

I think I've found the problem.

I can search only for the words that don't have any modifications (different color, size, etc.) in one of their parts.

So the.integrity works but the.integrity doesn't.
In other words, if there is a BB code in the middle of a word, it doesn't work, but if the whole word is inside a BB code then it works.

In the case of my thread, I can search for the skype names that are all red or all green, but not for those that have both green and red letters.
Is this a forum bug or is it working as intended? Seems like a bug to me. :(

Yes, your right.

My guess it's working as intended and the bb code is included as a searchable element.

For example

HTML:
1 - [B]something[/B]
2 - [b]some[/b]thing

So when you split a word with BB code, it includes that code as part of the word

In number 2 you would have to search for 'some[/b]thing', however because some special characters can't be used in search that type of search is also not possible.

I'm not sure if VB would consider this a bug or not, they're probably fully aware of this bb code search issue
