Methods for preventing a recall?

Hello everyone,

I am new to the whole wow account trade scene and read through all the stickies in the safe buying/selling forum (so this one :P). But there is still one issue that is bothering me.

I am looking for buying an account, but from stories I read on the internet, it's just a matter of time untill the account get recalled. Even though I am getting all the information required for the account, I am still dependant on the original owner right? Even if the transaction goes well, he can recall the account any time he wish by contacting Blizzard since his name is registere don the account AFAIK?

This issue is the only thing holding me back from buying an account. So what methods are there for minimizing the risk of recalling, or completely removing the risk?

In the sticky posts, I've been reading up on transfering the main character to another account with the same name but one you created yourself. Well the post seemed a little old and Blizzard has new methods for detecing such stuff? So that seemed like a money waste..

One thing I thought up myself, was adding an owned Blizzard Authenticator from myself? Did anyone had any experience with that? Or is this also simply removable by the OO?

Besides that i'm running out of ideas, so if anyone has any advice or links to other posts, I would really appreciate it!

well, short of doing what was suggested in the "prevent unauthorized xfer recall" guide or slightly adapting it to your needs, there really is not much you can do to prevent a recall if the original owner is determinative enough and has a copy / notarized copy of the identification.

therefore, your best bet is to verify the user to intend to purchase said account from and let him know the legal consequences of fraud.

good luck! feel free to contact me if you need anything else!
