I Traded a 64 Paladin for his 80 Hunter 2 Days ago.
Everything was fine, and going well until about 20 minutes ago.
I was on the hunter, and got instantly disconnected.
After trying multiple times to have him admit to it being him, i had no other option but to report him.
As you can see below, he does act very suspicious from the moment i tell him what happened.

(I know trading a 64 for an 80 sounds too good to be true, but he seemed legit, and i wanted to give it a try. I know its just a level 64, but thats not the point, the point is that he might scam others for more than i have been screwed out of)

I HAVE MORE AIM LOGS THEN THIS, THIS IS ONLY THE PART ABOUT US TALKING ABOUT IT GETTING RECALLED.

He just informed me that he has been botting on my character, so when/if i get the account back, it will probably be banned sooner or later. This guy is a real low-life.

Well.... my 2 cents....

To dakka...who would EVER want to recall a lvl 60+ when their getting a lvl 80? With RaF the one who gets the 80 and in this situation it is Sentiment, he could easily pay 20 bucks and get i don't know....me and lvl back up to 60 in what 2-3 days? when if he wanted to lvl to 80 in what normal time lol 2-3 weeks? If you can answer that then "maybe" you will have a few people on your side. To sentiment i know its very hard not to show emotions when something like this happens but next time you might want to employ some restraint, now im not bashing you or anything im just saying its one of the best ways to piss off the real bad guy in the situation in my experiences.This does really look bad for you dakka and i dont think anyone would deny that lol. Call me crazy but i could picture someone "trading" their account to maybe try out a "glider" they may have obtained and that would explain this whole situation, but hey thats just my 2 cents.

I had a worry this kid was going to want his paladin back after day one. I think he just pulled a quick trade for an 80 without thiking about it much at all. If you ACTUALLY read all of this you will see him complaining about the Hunter playabilty, the Server he is on as well. If he wanted to trade back, i said id be willing to work something out....BUT he doesnt want to be honest about it. Oh i the mean time during this, I checked the OO of the hunter which he didnt change anything. Also you will see hiim asking about how im leveling so fast on the paladin and such, IRONIC that when im about to hit 70 with him "I scam him"

It is hard to tell who is right and who is wrong but I HIGHLY doubt someone with 2 pages of rep would scam, so I am having to side with Dakkadakka. Sounds like the alleged person who got "scammed" just didn't like the class he got.
 
Now he is getting other people to message me on AIM.
This is getting to be too much...

And Burdy, why would i not just admit that i didnt like the hunter?
And even if i didnt like him, i could have easily traded for another character, or asked for him to trade me back.

I am the OO of hunter account and i did not recall it. I traded for dakkadakka's druid about 1 month ago. dakka is legit and not a scammer. Theese screen shots prove it

The bad thing is IF he got hacked I DO feel bad, I just feel like the INSTANT aggression towards me as well as the INSTANT asking for the paladin back the SECOND the password didnt work doesnt look to good.
IF something outside of both of our control(like he traded it and got scammed, OR he got hacked) did happen I wish he would just be honest about it and we could get the account back and transfered for him.

However I dont know what else to say, I offered to recall the hunter, I OFFERED to give the paladin back if he would just call me on the phone. I dont think thats asking to much. I let him know I dont really care that much about the transfer as I have the money althought it WAS part of our original deal.

I feel like this kid isnt a scammer but tried to take advantage of a situation, So im not going to write him up as a scammer, nor ask for him to be baned, BUT please unificant take the right track from here.
Dont go down that bad road of a theif like many others on MD
 
Dakka seems to be right about this one. If you were hacked, he offered to get the account back. You didn't want it back because you probably just don't like the class and want your character back after he took time to level.

Taking advantage of people is pretty [censored].

I suggest trading the hunter to someone else if you don't like it, but don't try to screw someone.

this is ABSOLUTLY true, thats why NO ONE should be 100% trusted without some proof
GBS for instance could be scaming a ton of people. HE could easily have his postives have no feedback page and then be able to keep his record some what clean taht way. Since un-twv people wouldnt have a way to leave him something that would go with him everywhere. HELL, I was scammed by the guy who left me a negative.
Im glad you brought it up GBS because I have EVERY single word we spoke to each other documented.
From his checking up about the paladins progress, to his complaining about how he didnt really like the hunter that much, to his complaining about how the server sucks and how he is the real one who needs a transfer and not me even tho he owed it to me.
I think if you evalute every convo here, its going to be pretty clear to see who was REALY in the wrong.

In the end it boils down to this for me. I would have trusted him and EVEN given him the paladin back if he would of just called me. I would of then gave him the paladin and called the hunter back. He lives in Colorado so its not an overseas call. AND if he was worried about the long distance he could of easily had me call him, HOWEVER if you look close there are a few things that are similar to the person talking on AIM and the person talking in the game to me. BOTH of them were very closed off and quick to turn down and sort of talking situation. This doesnt mean that its was definitly him in game, however its another coincidence. The dude in game didnt even want to say his first name and outside of game in AIM you could see how quickly he turned down any type of situation to talk to me. I was trying to catch him soemthing in game with the last name but he was smart enuff to not respond with it, and he would of been a dead fish in the sea.
I think tho at this time there is rest as he has the hunter(which is now obvious to just about anyone on here)
 
I just read over this thread and few things seem a little bit suspicious to me.

For one, why on earth would someone complain about receiving a level 80 for a level 64? Even if the characters gear is horrible or if it is not the exact server you wanted, whatever it may be. You still received a level 80 for a 64... Worst case scenario, you could trade the level 80 for another level 80 of your choice.

Second, unificent said that he was OO of the paladin but dakkadakka has said that unificent is lying and he is not the OO.

Thirdly, why is unificent all of a sudden giving up completely? Dakkadakka told you (unificent) that he wanted to speak with you on the phone in order to explain the situation and come to a resolution. I have no idea why you would say "no, I don't want to talk to you anymore."

Unificent, one last thing, you are not allowed to come up with random false accusations. There is a reason as to why you created this scammer post. Since you have recently said you no longer care even though dakkakka was giving you an easy way to solve this problem (talking on the phone). You did not comply and are being stubborn about the entire situation. He is more than willing to help you out yet you are unwilling to receive the help. All I want to know is why?
