So I am playing EVE now, but recently (past 3 months) have not really had time to play it between work, family and BC2. I am really hesitant to get rid of it (trade it away or sell it) because it is always going up in worth, and the same company is releasing a MMOFPS for the PS3 that will connect to the same MMO server as EVE with cross interaction.

However, EVE requires a good bit of time each session to really get anything done, and half of the time you are spending just looking for people to fight, and half the time you find someone to fight it is a big group so you have to bring a similar sized group (least solo friendly game).

Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for MMOs I should try/go back to that may have changed, while I wait for SWTOR ofc.
Not interested in WoW, and I tried LoL, I find it good but only in very small quantities. Mainly a PVPer here and I like the ability to get into the action somewhat quick. Played WAR a bit while back and it was a laggy/glitchy game even on high end systems, but have heard recently it is a lot better.

Thanks ahead of time.

Personally, I would recommend you just wait it out for TOR.

Rift isn't that great, and, you already know WoW is pretty ****ty (Which is good you know).

So, continue to play EVE or just console game/PC game it up. Try buying a new FPS or something.

TOR and GW2 are all hype. They are going to tank... if you really are excited about those games go play the originals and tell me how awesome they are.

BRB.. getting on the "wow sucks" bandwagon, hold on, now I'm playing TOR and GW2 and experiencing slow, non-fluid combat with ****ty watered down gameplay disguised with cool graphics and "epic quest dynamics which will only be fun once just like an rpg"

opinions are opinions...

asking on a general MMO forum which MMO you should play is like going to a Mexican beach holding a sign around your neck that reads "who has the best puka shell necklaces for $1?"

Gw2 is not even something I have paid any attention to. I have done my research on SWTOR though, and obviously there is always that chance you could be right and it flops. Since I probably will not get to play the beta, especially with people thinking playing a beta that will just get wiped before launch is worth anywhere near $100-200 (lol@them). If it is very gear based and not skill based, it will as you say "tank". I am a PVPer and heavily gear based games are only for the teenager and below who have countless hours to devote each week.

Now I am not on any "hate WoW" bandwagon, but I do think it has outlived it's finesse. The best part of WoW was in vanilla, hands down, with the ACTUAL ranked BGs. I have played each expansion and it just seems to get worse and worse. Arenas are a joke for the real PVPer.. and there is less and less balance. Heck, last time I quit was when my rogue could take 1 v3 in arenas (earlier this year) from sheer boredom.

WAR seems fun, but even in recent videos still retains that unpolished feel. Plus it seems people think the accounts are at the same level of worth as a first rate mmo, and not a second-third that it is.

Obviously, I am waiting for BF3, heck I built a whole new machine for it. Just seeing if there is anything else to play while waiting for BF3/SWTOR

There is my rant :P
