Hello,

I've used this chat mainly to sell game accounts. After a while, someone added me on discord: Lollipop#4980.
He's offered me to buy Lineage 2 currency for a commission. After doing him a couple favours, he ended up issuing chargebacks. He's sent me 4x 150+ usd payments.
Can anyone help me with this one, what is this all about? This person is talking about running a business and people impersonating him with this whole commission thing.
Is my PayPal account in danger and/or is it possible to be in a negative balance wich'd mean that I'd have to deposit my own money in PayPal in order to be able to make use of it?

Update: 3rd chargeback has been issued by scammer: PayPal balance is at -157,97.

This is a scam to were the scammer used hacked paypal accounts to send you money to buy currency for him. You will likely lose all of those disputes. If you spent the money to buy the currency for him then yes your balance will likely be negative (600$ USD) from what you stated. Also your paypal will risk being banned due to having so many chargebacks in such a short time.

Is there any chance that I'd contact PayPal and tell them everything there is to it?
There's no way a scammer gets away after sending money with hacked PayPal and gets away with this, right? Are there people here on the forums that've dealt with this and resolved these disputes?

a purchase with hacked paypal accounts, that leads into a dispute by the real first owner is the worst case scenario. you will have to refund everything that you are charged with.

Yes it is unfair, yes paypal is the one that should take care of different ip's and hacking....but you will recieve no mercy, as long as the owner was really ripped of from his account somehow.

The best solution is to ask for the ID after a payment with a big chunk of money. To confirm it is him.

It happened to alot of us, and sometimes you have to make the experience to become aware of all kind of frauds.

Remember you are not the loser here, no mater what happens. Even if it feels like this.

Happen to me but the chargeback was from real person and he initiate chargeback through his debit card stating that he dont get the account i sold what i do is because i cant get my account back or get his payment back i message his streaming site and post there and message all of his follower and relatives cause he block me on discord and his twitter

Even the payment from family and friends(personal payment) can be chargeback if the person use debit card/bank/credit card paying on paypal etc. So i guess no one is safe about this

thats a huge problem with paypal, they act all day like a real bank. but in case of unauthorized payments/hacked paypalaccounts they dont feel responsible. BUT! a real bank is infact responsible for unauthorized payments by one of their customers/ppl act like the customers and not the recipient of the payment. in most cases the recipient can proofe that they delivered the item of sale, but even this fact dont affects their buisness practices. sure scamer will use this in their advance, but the real scamers are paypal. dont know why ppl use this oneclick chargeback nonense at all, a safe payment isnt a onewayticket... my advice to you is to use skrill in the future, they got a eu- and uk-banklicense, u cant get charged back if u didnt do anything wrong. or u use crypto.
