Should threads explicitly state that it's not our fault if your account is banned or rewards are taken away?

The purchase of referral rewards is against Riot's TOS. In my opinion, you should know the risks of trading before you purchase something (please direct me to the thread if there is one).

Once the disbursement of account information has been made, the risk should then be on the buyer's hands.

Saying "it's not your fault" or "we take no responsibility" if an account is banned or the rewards are removed would not be acceptable if a dispute were opened. It depends how the referrals are added. This is also true for other services.

If the seller added the referrals in a safe and acceptable manner, it's the buyer that takes and accepts the risk. If the account is banned or rewards removed, it's just bad luck and the seller would not be responsible.
If the seller added the referral in an unsafe manner, then the seller is responsible for a refund.

It is up to the buyer to explain and show proof that the referrals were added unsafely if they are asking for a refund.
