Our long awaited update to Trade Guardian has finally launched today.

This update was pre-announced a few weeks ago and you can find most of the information here.

Members can apply to become Trade Guardian sellers with TrustAp here.

The Pro Seller Usergroup has been renamed to 'Trade Guardian Seller'. Only members approved by TrustAp can obtain this upgrade. Anyone that currently has it will be allowed to have it expire.

If you have any questions or find a bug, typo or some other issue, please post here.


Update: TrustAp sales have been paused due to a minor issue. We're waiting for an update from TrustAp, once this issue is resolved it will be re-enabled. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Should we stop reviewing а new disputes outside TG?
 
Maybe you should clarify this:

What happens after the 72 hour window?
After 72 hours the buyer will lose the ability to dispute the transaction and it is no longer refundable. We recommend opening a dispute against this member in our Dispute Forum.

By dispute, do you mean bank chargeback?


What if the buyer chargeback their payment with the bank after 72 hrs, will funds will be taken from the seller's balance?
 
After 72 hrs the seller can withdraw the payment so its no longer refundable or disputable from our end.

A chargeback can still occur, but that will be handled by TrustAp and their policies will be followed in all instances.

No, that would not occur, but could if TrustAp changes their policy in the future.
 
Does it work as intended?

I applied and got immediately accepted without needing to add any extra verification or personal information except for Name, e-mail and country.

When you create a thread and enabled TG TrustAp, the 'buy with TG' button at the top of your thread will start a transaction. The buyer can deposit payment even if the seller is offline, then the seller can complete it once they're online.
 
I don't like that pro seller is now country restricted, especially since it still gives the homepage thread perk, username color and badge. Those are selling advantages that cannot be obtained if our country is not listed on TrustAp.
 
Yeah this is unfair to members who come from countries where TrustAp is not supported
 
There seems to be something wrong. Ive seen one guy already who joined today and already got the TG sell Badge.

Ive reported him so that you can check on that yourself.

Correct me if im wrong, but; Angel, Integrity, and Taki are from countries from which TrustAp isn't available, yet they have a pro seller badge. Were these badges obtained before this major update or after? If after, how do i replicate? Do i just register under a different country through TrustAp?

Second question: If I have a bank account outside of my country of residence, let's say UK, can i register on TrustAp since UK is available on TrustAp?
 
Indeed , TrustAp is not available in most countries including mine unfortunately

It was obtained after. This was just a demonstration of how this system can be abused, something i tried to point out earlier but nobody listens.
 
We will make an update in the future to display the badge only for those members who fully completed the TrustAp process, however at this time it's not possible. This option is out of our hands, but once it's available to us we'll make the change.
