Just got scammed out of $600 (Monkbug - relentless glad rogue)

I was going to buy Czmn @ Illidan - Game - World of Warcraft a relentless gladiator rogue for $600 on Paypal from this guy. He demanded Western Union and he promised me (I have written contracts, his cell phone number and photo I.D...also pictures of his house and exact address, name of girlfriend, mom, occupation) that he would give me the information when I gave him the payment number from Western Union.

I sent him the money and he sent me incorrect information of the account. Now, I know that there is nothing "tangible" here but the WoW CD Keys are something that I believe I can report to WU.

If you see him trading an account, think otherwise. I want the account monkbug banned too even though it doesn't mean **** since he can just make a new one.

I need advice on what to do. I don't think there is any chance in WU to send the money back my way but please help me out here. I have no problem getting a lawyer, the problem is that I live in PA and he lives in Western Canada.

Also, if it matters. I drove 2 hours to a distant city away from me to get a friend to make the western union payment since I did not want them man knowing anything about me.

And in regards to this case, I have been scammed before and ive been in the same case as you. I live in Western Canada and the scammer lived in Grand Rapids, MI. I filed a complaint with his local PD and this was the response I recieved.

I HAVE RECEIVED AND REVIEWED YOUR EMAIL COMPLAINT. THERE IS NO POSIBLITY OF PROSECUTION FROM THE GRAND RAPIDS POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE FRAUD YOU REPORT. SINCE YOU AND THE SUSPECT ARE IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES , IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL CRIME – AS ARE MANY INTERNET CRIMES- AND NO LOCAL POLICE AGENCY WOULD HAVE JURISDICTION TO PURSUE A CASE. IT IS UNLIKELY THAT EVEN OUR FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION WOULD BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING WITHOUT COOPERATION FROM YOUR GOVERNMENT.

ADDITIONALLY I AM NOT SURE THAT MICHIGAN LAW WOULD APPLY SINCE THE TRANSACTION COULD EASILY BE CONSIDERED A CIVIL MATTER( LIKE A BUSINESS TRANSACTION) AND IT ALSO HAS A FACTOR OF THE INTELECTUAL PROPERTY BEING TRADED.

thank you. yea I googled his cellphone number and there are many people who call him on fraud and threatening to kill people etc. Wish I would have done this before, not after. I doubt he even had a rank 1 rogue

It must have had to be edmonton if he picked up the payment there. Nevermind my question. Can you link me the reasons why he was banned before? Was it this rogue that he showed to me or a different account

I was scammed by this user a while back as well I reported him to IC3 with all relevant information that I had I suggest you try the same. Kids a thief and chances are he will get away with it yet again.
