Just bought an account from VBarrack.com...fishy or normal?

Hi,

I just purchased an account from Vbarrack.com. They created a fresh account to transfer the WoW character to.

I found out after the fact that they would not tell me any details to the account such as email address, last name, secret question/answer and cd-keys.

They would not give me a reason, but they told me that they would give me the information after 12 weeks.

Is this normal when buying an account from a website, or is this cause for concern? What are the chances of actually getting this information from them?

Thank you for any help or advice

there are 2 possible scenarios
1) they want to cover their bases so you cannot recall the money after receiving all the account details
2) they are scamming you and will never give you the information

double check with the vbarrack ToS - did they state before purchase they would hold the information for 8 weeks?

if you did not see this clause or agree to it, you should file a chargeback with your credit card company or paypal.

Hi Marcklam,

Thank you for your help and advice. I appreciate it!

The ToS stated that I would receive all of the information immediately after paying, so I will be filing a chargeback ASAP.

Hi Alexandra,

If you follow the link that you have in your post, look at Q 2.6:

Q 2.6: How can I complete my order?

Please get on our livechat service once the payment has been cleared. Once the order has been confirmed by our security team, our customer representative will provide you with a new set of CD-key and TBC upgrades along with the original owner's name for you to create a brand new account.
You are free to customize your account name, password, secret question and password and the registered email address! Please kindly note that the new account registered name must match the original owner's full name as it is the minimum requirement for an account to account transfer.
When the account has been successfully upgraded, our customer representative will instruct you for a paid character transfer. After the transfer is approved by Blizzard, you will have full access to that character immediately.

I read through the FAQ's before I made this purchase. I was under the impression that the transaction would follow the steps in Q2.6

I asked them in Livechat why they wouldn't give me the account information. They told me that they wanted control of the account, so if there was a problem with Blizzard, they could take care of it.

I don't know, things just seem shady to me.

I'd get the money back mate, you don't want something you have no control over. Sounds really odd, i wish you all the luck.
