Itrader Score Update

You will now notice in thread profiles your feedback scores display according to how many positive, neutral and negative feedbacks you have, along with the total rating score.

This change should make it easier for members to see each others details feedback scores and to make it easier to see if someone has negatives.

Positive, negative and neutral scores now display the total feedback received of that type. Before feedback from the same member would only count once.

Missing feedback score?
If you're missing your feedback, just click the "My Profile" link in the top right then click "refresh" in your browser. That will update your profile and feedback scores will now display.

Bugs - The scores are missing from the message system. We will have this fixed soon.

I think the old one is better, but just my personal opinion, this kinda reminds of the Epvp one.

I dig the clean look of it; however, were there any changes as to how feedback % was rounded up/down?

The problem with the old display was if someone had 1 positive and 1 negative, it would show the feedback score as 0. A member might not notice the 50% rating next to it and think that user had no feedback when infact they had a negative.

This update makes it very visible and clear what someone's feedback is and if they have any negatives.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm glad more feedback from routine users/same members count more towards the feedback system.

nope, just refresh your profile page and it will update.

The built in itrader tool meant to update feedback busted on us when we tried to update everyone's feedback. We have too many members, so we're creating our own update tool which will be ready by tomorrow. Until then if you're missing your feedback, just refresh your profile page and it will appear.

The idea is very good, looks very nice but i`ve got some things to point out :

- can you maybe leave some text aswell there (specially for new users who arent familiar with these shortcuts and for the ones who dont have aswell a "other feedback" text there), such as : "Trade feedback", "Feedback", "Rating", "Black market" etc
- what about imported feedback ? will it be the same cause now it looks kinda awkward - one of them in the new system and the other one in the old system
- dunno whats behind same feedback counting twice, but im afraid people will abuse on it, even making fictional trades just to raise their rep and somehow degrading us who struggled years to build a reputation

Thats just my honnest opinion, maybe some of my thoughts might help, just sayin`

Anyways its a good idea and it looks awesome !

We can add a description, but I really wanted to contain it to one line. Adding "Feedback Score" or something similar would make it two lines and I didn't want to expand the profile area any more than I had to. I think with the colors and % next to it makes it very clear that it's feedback, but if we get some emails asking us what this means, then we'll consider adding something like that.

The import wasn't updated purposely. I wanted the feedback from Epicnpc to stand out. The "Other feedback" might eventually be updated to display differently, but it won't get the same blocks, it would remain as a total score.

Couldnt agree more ! You can just take other feedback off for good and that would make the difference

(But i guess that would cause alot of mess around as many sellers here still depend on their feedback obtained somewhere else)

Looks good! As with any update it will take some getting used to and for people like me who are obsessed with their feedback they will work extra hard to make sure everything but green block reads 0

Well, I'd personally prefer to see some Feedback/Rating/Trust rate title just to make it easier for guys who just registered for their first deal.

Yeah if you could make the numbers go to feedback page would be nice. as people won't go to profile to see and probably ask how to get detailed feedback

Yea clickable numbers, that would be nice, still for now i see if you click the "%" it does indeed send you to the feedback page so maybe that was intented to be like that

We made the rating % clickable since I didn't want to have 4 links to the same page. We'll update the % to make it more obvious it's a link.

Would be also nice if lets say someone had negative feedback and if you clicked on the Red circle (which shows number of negative feedback) and it would show you all the negative feedback only that the user received.

It should only show number of users who left positive, not total positive, as it can become very inaccurate and be abused.
Don't understand why you changed it in the first place.

What if some member traded with only 3 users, but 15-20 times with each (very regular customers). Do they deserve 50+ feedback?
It can be easily faked and abused.

Totally agree on this one ! In my personal opinion, as it was before was just perfect, when it counted 1/user even if there were multiple deals between users

They just need to show the number of unique positive feedback instead of total. Im pretty sure its easy to fix. If you go to your profile you can see 2 different numbers of feedback.

overall this update is great, and gives a clearer look at anyone's feedback score. Programmers just need to change the system so it takes lower value of feedback instead of total. Also in addition to this guys could just disable the feature to leave feedback more than once (exceptions would be if the user wants to give a negative).

Or maybe allow positive from same member, but only once every 6 months or so. In that case it's ok for the counter to show total feedback.

At this time we'll continue to show total feedback instead of unique feedback scores since the change is not as easy as it might appear. If we see abuse then we'll consider changing it in the future.

The 6 month limit can also be added, but again, this change is not as easy at it appears, so we'll wait to see if there's any abuse before we make a decision.
